Hi,

I'm unable to access my account.

It repeatedly asks for my password and the error message states it's an incorrect password entered, despite not having changed it and using a computer remembered one. Error still occurs when I attempt to login by typing the password.

Error message reads:

Unable to send or receive messages for the account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [IN-USE] Account is temporarily unavailable.
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

This problem has persisted for a number of days.

I haven't had trouble with it before and I've made no changes to it recently.

I've tried repairing Windows Live Essentials from the Control Panel and that has made no difference.

If anybody could suggest a solution I'd really appreciate the help.

Naomi

Thinking of Upgrading my PC from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit. I downloaded the software of Windows Essentials 2011 & created a account, but recently had to uninstall it to update a driver. I read an advisor from Microsoft Security Bulletin that Windows Live Essentials 2011 is no longer available to download for Windows Vista, because of vulnerability in the Windows Live Essentials 2011 software. My question is did the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade address attention for a solution?

Whenever I try to open any of the WL Essentials components, my cursor does the loading animation for a few seconds, and then nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling Essentials several times, but it didn't help.

On a different forum someone told me to edit some registry keys, but didn't tell me anything on exactly what I should do with it. Maybe that would help?

Thanks in advance.

An automatic update rendered Internet Explorer and Windows Live Mail inoperable-- wouldn't load.  Strange-- Outlook and Google Chrome still worked.  But anyway, after 2 days on the phone with HP support, I finally had to do a system refresh which restores operating files but is supposed to leave personal data files intact.  After reinstalling the deleted applications, including Windows Live Essentials, I find that years of my archived e-mails and contacts are GONE....  I didn't panic at first because I thought Windows Live Mail messages were stored "in the cloud" and they'd return after I sync'd.  Didn't happen.  Still not panicking because I back up daily using Windows Backup... only to find out that the Windows Live files aren't included in the backup set.  OK... TIME TO PANIC!  Anyone have any ideas on how to restore my e-mails???  (They're not in the AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows Live Mail folder -- I checked that first.)

I received an upgrade notice some months ago for windows live essentials. It automatically downloaded and installed. Now, my shortcuts to windows live 11 and messenger do not work. In fact, there are no shortcuts anywhere in my computer for windows live 12. In addition, the search feature from the start button cannot locate windows live mail, or live mail, or mail. I have, for all intents and purposes, no mail program on my computer to be found, anywhere. I'm confused by this.

I tried a bunch of times uninstalling, reinstalling, system-uninstalling, reinstalling, offline installing, you name it. Eventually I gave up and resigned to outlook.com but I'd really like to get my mail program and the rest of live essentials working because hey--they're essentials right?

Anyone have help?

Thank you

Errors 0x800ccc92 and 0x800ccc90.  I get email on one account but the other no.  I repaired the windows live essentials program, no change.  I checked each email properties and they are the same.  I have this issue on windows 7 and windows VISTA, two different computers.  It was working fine at least on the 14th but not on 18th.  No new programs installed.  It is a Protocol: POP3, port: 995, SSL: yes. On the email account, I clicked properties and re-entered all the info.  I also went to the top for accounts, and did the same but the name and password does not take.  I tried to remove the @.... just in case but no luck.

[Original title: Windows Live Mail]

Operating system is Windows 7 Pro.  Default Browser is Firefox.

A few weeks ago, my Windows Live Mail lost the ability to copy hyperlinks from the body of the email.  After reading this board, I decided to remove IE 11 and revert to IE 10.  This solved that problem.

Now I have two NEW problems:

I have six accounts all forwarding to my Live Mail account... some hotmail, some gmail, etc.  One of my hotmail accounts is no longer forwarding.  All others are working fine.

I cannot print the body of the emails.

I have completed the steps necessary to "repair" Windows Live Essentials.  The two problems above persist.

Please help as the loss of functionality is crucial to the operation of my business!

Thank you!

HI! My name is Tina Brown. I want to uninstall windows photo gallery but I don't have administrator rights. I don't even know how it was installed. I'm guessing through WLEssentials.  I can't even reinstall because its says it is not available for windows vista any longer. I uninstalled Windows live Essentials but that did not help. I do not like this program. I just want to go back to my regular pictures gallery. I run Vista, service pack 2 and desperately need your help. I would appreciate anything you could do to resolve this issue. I'm not trying to bombard you but would also like to know how to uninstall IE 9. It is not in my updates

Thank you Tina Brown.

Recently, since I thought that my Windows Live Mail was slow, I re-installed Windows Live Essentials 2012. It included Movie Maker.

My e-mail was working, but I found that I could not start Movie Maker, seeing the message "Sorry, movie maker can't start. Make sure if your computer meets the minimum requirement...".

I uninstalled Essentials 2012 and re-installed 2011, but the issue persisted.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

I really miss Movie Maker. If anyone has the solution, please help me.

Folks

My wife uses Windows Live Mail to access her Yahoo mail account. She has always had occasional problems but recently she is probably getting something like 9 failures for every 10 attempts to access her email.

Error message is:

Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995

Secure(SSL): Yes

She is using Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 7 (64bit). Both Live Mail and Windows have the latest updates installed. I have run Windows Live Essentials repair a couple of times.

My wife can send mail without problems. Eventually her email will download but sometimes it has been a couple of days before she has success, other times it will work after a couple of tries.

I have triple checked the settings and they are correct, Windows Firewall is letting Live Mail through, Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't scan mail, so none of those things should be the problem. I have played with increasing/decreasing the server timeout and it doesn't make a difference.

There are two log files here: http://1drv.ms/N2cKEe if that helps.

The only thing I haven't tried doing is deleting the account and reinstalling the account. There are two reasons why I haven't done that: 1) my wife doesn't want the way she has her emails organised messed up; and 2) I would like to try to understand what the problem is.

Any suggestions, thoughts, or even better, answers will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
