After a new hard drive was installed and windows essentials downloaded, line mail will not open to set up. I tried troubleshooting and ended up with 'windows is incompatible' the download was set to run in XP, I am using windows 7, 64 bit, so I tried changing
the set up to windows 7, but the live mail still will not open.
Does anyone have any idea of what to do?

How do I put my Windows Essentials Calendar on the taskbar or on the desktop without going through my email account every time? I want it to open directly to my calendar.

I have windows 8.1, I use the 2012 Movie Maker version, this problem began about 2 weeks ago. Prior to this I was able to publish videos to You tube successfully. I have Photo Gallery. I have the most current windows essentials and the microsoft.net framework
4.5 and my operating system does not support microsoft fix.

I have Windows Live Mail 2012 version 16.4.3505 installed on my hp Pavilion desktop running Windows 7. I have been using Windows Live Mail on this pc for more than a year with no problems. Beginning early February 2014, when I click on the mail icon, the screen comes up that says Window Live Mail with a circle
going round and round that says starting by it. It never opens though. I’ve taken multiple actions to include restoring to an earlier point and removing and reinstalling Windows Essentials including Windows Live Mail and all the other apps to no avail. I’ve reviewed forum posts and haven’t seen any solutions; discussion yes but no solution. Thoughts, recommendations and suggestions welcomed.
I run windows 8.1 and updated the Microsoft essentials update only to find that it had deleted/removed windows live mail from my desktop/computer. I use live mail as my main mail program and want to know why this update is doing this, I have had to restore
my system to get live mail back and now have to refuse the update until I can work out what is going on.

I am very very frustrated with windows right now, my movie maker stopped working so i deleted it, that was fine, then went to reinstall it off the windows website. This was fine, it installed and i installed all of the windows essentials and stuff and
it put shortcuts on my startmenu and stuff but nothing will open it says it dosnt exsist and when i go to control panel or uninstall or change a program and all those places it isnt even on the list, i cant find it anywhere on my pc, any of the programs, even
though movie maker is all i really want. I went back to the site and tried downloading it again, but all it says is ok you already have these programs and closes yet i still cannot find the programs ANYWHERE. This is very frustrating and ive taken probably
a good 3 hours just today trying to find it on my pc, when i search it nothing comes up but some broken shortcuts and files with nothing inside them, i delete them but nothing changes. Please help, i just want to get movie maker andhave it work. I am on windows

After I load Windows Essentials Live mail it opens once and reads my mail. The second time I open Windows Essentials Live mail it says Calender Data corrupt. I have tried deleting the calender data in the appdata folder. I have tried deleting the whole Windows Live Mail mail folder in the appdata folder. I have deleted the registry keys. I have tried uninstalling Windows Essentials and deleting the folder out of the programs folder.
Each time I get windows live mail to work it works once until I close it the amount of time it is open doesn't seem to matter. The second time I open it windows live mail tells me calender Data is corrupt.
