Hi,

I Would be grateful for any help please,  to sort out the following problem, thanks.

I am running Windows 7, I have plenty of disk space.

I have run Microsoft Fix It for codecs and everything is okay.

I have Movie Maker Version 2012 on my computer Build 16.4.3528.0331

The video is MP4 format it plays with both sound and video on the Windows Media Player

I have loaded into the Movie Maker, into a new project not yet saved, it shows as a complete clip with the frames of the video with the images. It is 'not' grey with the warning triangles. This is on the right hand side where the editing is done.

When I play what is there all I get is a black square in the Movie Maker viewer on the bottom left with no sound or video.

A quick response would be appreciated as it a promotional video for a sponsored charity event.

When I first started making a video in Movie Maker 2012 on Windows 8, the audio worked just fine in the video. Now every time I open a movie file in Movie Maker the video plays fine, but the audio comes out only as loud, pulsing static. I have reinstalled Movie Maker and repaired the program several times, with no solution to the problem.

What's worse is that as soon as this happens in Movie Maker, all of the sound on my computer goes to the same static. iTunes, YouTube, and any other audio plays out as pulsing static, but only after I have tried to play audio in Movie Maker.

Any help here would be appreciated as I have a movie to finish by next week and will need the audio component to work properly. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hi

I am on Windows 7 trying to put a video together. When I go to Save Movie - then YouTube format, it doesn't save it, there are 8 clips and a music loop on there but it is only 44 seconds and it says there is not enough space. There is plenty of space on my hard drive and under the video area.

Please let me know what i can do to fix this - I am trying to put up a mothers day video!!! thanks

Hi,

As I was importing videos into my Movie Maker, I clicked "stop" while it was "preparing" the video to be used in the movie. Now every video I import has bad resolution and distorted images. How do I get Movie maker to start "preparing" the videos again?

Thank you!

Thank You

I just bought a new computer with Windows 8.1 and Movie Maker. I am trying to import videos from an SDHC card.  Once they download, I can get audio but no video access.  I tried fixing Windows Essentials and Movie Maker but that did not work. I also got a message that I need to download Windows.net Framework 2.0.  I tried that but kept getting the same message. Can you help?

I made quite the video on Movie Maker. It's a music a video of sorts with cuts of the band playing (both live and the music video) mixed with video of certain things from the Civil Rights movement. It all ends with a bang where the last minute is a cascade of pictures timed perfectly to a constant drum beat during the last minute. I worked for 6+ hours and I was finally satisfied with the timing and ready to save it.

This is where the problem arises. The timing has been thrown off ever so slightly. It seems to have been a tad sped up. The transitions weren't perfect in Movie Maker, but that's what gave it the timing I wanted (I should add I didn't manually insert any transitions. I'm simply referring to the natural transition between clips). The saved file has cleaned the transitions up a bit to the detriment of the timing. I don't want to go back in a manually change the timing, because I'd go mad.

I'm a total amateur at this. Is there a setting that just translates the exact Windows Movie Maker product to a movie file?
