I have some emails missing dating from the 10-20th September I have not deleted them and they are no in the deleted area where could they be

I have some email messages which I'm certain I have not deleted.  I have checked deleted messages which they do not appear i.  So where could they be and how do I access them.  The emails are from the period of the 10th to the 20th Sept.

What is now wrong with hotmail on Sept. 9?
