I have connected my mobile to my laptop and the device shows on my devices page on computer but doesn't show on import page.
I can't import photos. Why does it not show on my photo gallery import page?
I am using Photo Gallery in Windows 8 and it will not recognize my camera. Can someone please point me to a solution? Thanks.
I teach unpaid, in retirement, an IT workshop for mature students at the intermediate or below level. I concentrate almost entirely on MS software. WLPG is/ has been a very popular product. I tell my students to download Photo Gallery and there is often
confusion with WLPG and/ or difficulty in downloading it
- Can you tell me the significance of the apparent name change to Photo Gallery and why it has been made and what are the benefits for the user?
- How does Windows Essentials relate the PG? What does Windows Essentials provide/ support other than PG and Movie Maker?
- I have Build 16.4.3508.205. Am I missing any new functions that I should be teaching? For instance Collage is very popular (as are Fuse and Panorama). Are there any new features available?
- If I or my students press the download button at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/photo-gallery#photogallery=overview will that automatically update the PG version I or the students have on their PC. NB I notice Collage is not mentioned on that site

How to uninstall Photo Gallery in XP w/sp 3? Also, how would I know if I had SQL 2005 Compact Edition and Windows Imaging Codecs., that is listed in specs? How to get it, if I don't have it?
I have plenty of space, thats not the issue, and the Fix It solution I found was worthless. Please help!!

I cannot find a way to update Photo Gallery. There must be patches, fixes and upgrades that are available. Or, is Photo Gallery also included in the tons of Win 7 upgrades I see being applied when I do a shut down?

Unable to run slideshow in Photo gallery -whenever I try the Windows Security Warning pops up with this message "This page is accessing information that is not under its control. This poses a security risk . Do you want to continue? " When I hit the
YES key, it still wont let me proceed. What can I do to disable the warning and get slideshow to work...? ( I am using 8.1)
I click on a thumbnail to open a photo in Photo gallery, no problem
When I then click on Edit, Organize or Share, it opens every photo on my computer as a thumbnail
I just want to edit my one photo not every one on my computer. I cannot even find my photo as there are thousands of photos

I try to start Photo Gallery or Movie maker and there is no way to get to the programs, I tied reinstalling them 3 times and uninstalling chrome several times also since it seems to be connected to the issue. tried installing real player to switch the
file associations but they still will not show up, every time I try to reinstall them they say they have installed successfully too quickly to have really installed. Just installed media player classic and VLC media player to try to force the Photo gallery
and movie maker to show so I can make them the defaults and it says the programs are not available. I use all of the adobe products and 3ds max and visual studio for work on this system. but all the sudden I can not open any pics or vids in the Microsoft photo
or video programs. I have to switch to an older OS on another SSD to do that now. If I could get this fixed on this OS(win 7 64 pro) it would save me a weeks worth of reinstalls. All of my working programs have been installed and are fine on this one. Just
the weird Microsoft Windows Live Photo Gallery and Movie maker glitch is keeping me from a full conversion. I also have all of office 2010 and many other programs. When I switch to the other os (also win 7 64 pro) on the other SSD all the Live Photo Gallery
and Movie maker programs work fine even with the full version of chrome running linked. All hard drives are the same other than the 180 SSD's OS's. Over 10 ter. rest of the system specs are listed below.
I have Windows 7 and Photo Gallery and have been using it for many months without any trouble. In the tag and caption pane I have been able to see the Information pane with file name, date etc. All of a sudden while working in PhotoGallery, a large white
space appeared between the Description tags pane and the Information Pane so that all I can see is the Information Pane header and no details underneath.
I removed and reinstalled PhotoGallery but had the same problem.

surely this isn't that hard - what is the problem with pposting (SIMPLY) photos from phot gallery onto my facebook pages. when I try and follow minimal procedures - it just sits there saying it's retreiving data?????? Help and there is NO option under
login enable to just "enable it" so that suggestion isn't true either.
