Out of 791 pictures photo gallery imported only 658 which have been edited and saved. How do I import the rest of the pictures on to the end of the 791 without losing those already edited?

I am running on vista and had both windows live photo gallery and windows photo gallery. I prefer windows live but for some reason in the

last 2 weeks live photogallery will not let me edit and says stopped working, windows phot gallery works fine. Is this something to do with vista?

any help available

Dear Leonard Su,, Moderator - I NEED 2 QUESTIONS ANSWERED, I HAVE SPENT DAYS AND SAYD ON IT BUT CAN'T SEEM TO PST A QUESTION - DRIVING ME MAD ( AS MICROSOFT TENDS TO DO)

1) How do I post a question to the Community / Forum? I don't get the question I want to ask as being posted before and I can't see how to post a question?
2) The other question is this: Using Windows Photo Gallery, I CAN EDIT THE PHOTO BUT IF I WANT TO SAVE THE EDITED PHOTO ( USUALLY THIS IS JUST AUTO EDITING TO MAKE THE PICTURE LOOK BETTER ) ALL I CAN DO IS BURN TO CD OR PRINT - WHAT I REALLY WANT TO DO IS SAVE THE EDITED PHOTO INTO THE PHOTOS FOLDER IN THE COMPUTER. HOW CAN I DO THAT?

(Otherwise, Windows Gallery is a useless system )

Areas of JPG photos that appear white in "file Preview", Powerpoint, & Windows 8.1 "Photos"  show up as a pink-yellow shade, since November 30, 2013, in both Photo Gallery and Photo Viewer.  How can this be fixed? This makes it impossible to correct color with these programs.

Does Microsoft know about the problem?  It appears to have happened at the same time as the C++ (KB2538243), and Update for Windows (KB2902864)

I have all of my photos from Facebook in the photos app on the start screen, but I also want them in my Photo Gallery without having to import each one individually  from Facebook into the gallery. I want to delete all of my old pictures off Facebook, but I am worried that if I do they will also be deleted from my photos since they are synced. Is there an easy way to move them into your gallery?

Thanks so much in advance!

Greetings!

I am using windows 8.1.  When I click on the photo gallery tile, the gallery opens, but closes within just a few seconds.  I've tried everything, including system restore with no luck.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Thanks, Jimmy

Hello,
After about a year or so of normal use Photo Gallery developed an annoying bug:  The vast majority of my thumbnails show up as the generic mountain icon!  If I double click on one, the picture displays normally.  Windows explorer shows thumbnails for the same pictures folder just fine.

Things that I have tried in order to fix this:
1) Going to control panel>folder options>view and making sure that "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked
2) Renaming/deleting the Pictures.pd6 in AppData>Local>Microsoft>Windows Live Photo Gallery
3) Deleting entirely the Windows Live and Windows Live Photo Gallery folders in AppData
4) Uninstalling and re-installing
5) Uninstalling and re-installing a previous version (2011)
6) Running command prompt>sfc/scannow (It showed no problems)
7) Deleting the windows thumbnail database via disk cleanup
8) Running the Microsoft Fix it for Photo Gallery at http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows_photo_and_slideshow_diag/?wa=wsignin1.0

My computer has an SSD on C:\ and a HDD on D:\.  I should add that I set my user directory to a non-default location via a registry edit, so my user directory is D:\Alex.  I highly doubt this is the cause since Photo Gallery was working fine for about a year.  When I boot up on my HDD side and run Photo Gallery, it works normally.

Any help on this issue would be appreciated.
