Windows Moviemaker 2012 on a Windows 8.1 computer will not open or play .wmv files. Photo Gallery on the same computer won't open and instead gives the usual "Photo Gallery has Stopped Working", the perennial issue that seems to plague everything and
with which Windows 8 and its successor appear to challenge the user. Any solutions out there for these terrible annoyances?
