I need help signing into my work account

05. August 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: personal account, work account
Ever since outlook unlinked my work account I can't access it. It signs into my personal account and doesn't allow me to switch accounts. I have asked for online help twice and no one has answered. My work account is how we communicate with new clients. We are an in-home health service organization..

Outlook: How to transfer folders w/emails from one outlook account to another outlook account

31. July 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: business account, Outlook account, personal account
I have 2 outlook accounts--one for business and one for me personally, each with their own folders to categorize the emails.  Now that account linking is gone, it's a real pain.

Anyone know how to transfer all of my folders w/emails to my "main account" (personal account).  I am now forced to have a main (personal) account that forwards my formerly linked account (business account).  Trouble is, when I do that, I no longer have my folders and historical emails from the business account.

Why account linking in Outlook was discontinued is a mystery to me.  It makes things much harder now.  I'm seriously looking into switching to gmail because with that you can at least have both accounts open at the same time.  Any help at all is appreciated.  There must be some way to transfer contacts, folders and emails from one account to another.

Multiple Accounts on my Microsoft Account

When I access my Microsoft Account at the http://commerce.microsoft.com/ web site I see a drop down at the top, as shown in this screenshot:

Why do I have a "CA - Personal Account", a "CA - Business Account 1", a "CA - Business Account 2", and a "US - Personal Account"?

I recently had two XBOX Avatar Items disappear from my account - they were withdrawn from the store - and I contacted XBOX Support.  I had the items credited to my account and they, plus a recent avatar purchase, appear under the "US - Personal Account".  Shortly after this, as documented in another thread, my Windows Phone 8 Wallet became corrupted:

I have two payment options on my account, a Visa and my PayPal.  Rogers is the name of my cell carrier in Canada, and should not be there.

What has happened?  Why do I have so many "accounts" under my Microsoft Account?

Option to view linked accounts or switch between linked accounts now gone???????

25. July 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: business account, personal account

Is there a new way to view my previously linked business account & personal account with out having to sign out & sign back in now that that option is gone. I want to keep the contacts separate & do not want to merge. But I need to be able to check both with ease. I tried minimizing one account but outlook will not let you have to open at the same time. I don't want to forward the business to personal unless I can keep the business account

when I need to send from those contacts only.

I can’t make an existing outlook account to link to primary hotmail account

Please walk me through this one!

I have two existing hotmail accounts, one for personal use and one for business. I have always had them linked, so that the business emails would be forwarded to the personal account, thus saving me from signing in/out all the time.

Perhaps I'm doing this "alias" thing wrong, but when I go to 'Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias' I get the following:

'this email address is part of a reserved domain such as live.com, hotmail.com, or msn.com. Please enter a different email address.'

Of course it is! The ability to link and forward accounts is the reason I made my business email the same domain as my personal email.

Please tell me there is a way to do this. I just spent a lot of money on new business cards with the other account address!

Linked Accounts feature

Hello

Now that the linked accounts feature in Outlook.com no longer works how can I manage having multiple account signed in at once?
I have a personal account and a professional one and I juggle between every hour so for me having to sign in and sign out each time is a BIG PROBLEM and unthinkable.

I don't want to have one mail forward to the other as I want each inbox to be completely organized and don't want to mix both sides of my life.

What is the other alternative?

I am aware that in Gmail there is a similar linked account feature, however in order to have them both sign in at once you need to log in both account and after a while they automatically log off. Is there a similar feature on outlook?

Let me know

Skydrive storage credited to wrong account

17. July 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: college account, Microsoft account, personal account, student status
Bought office 365 University using my personal microsoft account which i use to log in to my surface pro.

During purchase I was asked to verify my student status through my college and to do that I just need to put my college email. Received a verification email, click on the link and succesfully verified my status.

After the purchase was made I was surprise to find out that 25gb skydrive is not credited to my personal account I used for purchase but instead on my college account which I don't use on my surface..

Why is that? That 25gb will be useless as apparently the skydrive app is link to the login account on  my surface which is my personal account not my college account..

Anyway to transfer my skydrive credits? It's the major reason I decided to buy office 365 in the first place and now I cant even use it.

windows live mail signatures

08. January 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: livemail · Tags: personal account, Signature, Windows Live Mail
I have two e-mail accounts. One is Personal and the other is for the business. I created a signature for the business and it works great. I checked the e-mail account that the signature should go to and works. I also created one for the personal account, checked the personal account box. Now when I send new mail from the personal account it inserts the Business account signature. How do I get it to do the personal when sending from the personal and the business signature when sending from the business? Thank you in advance.

Can’t send email from Outlook for Mac 2011 via Gmail Business Account

11. July 2012 · Write a comment · Categories: Outlook for Mac · Tags: business, com, Gmail, incoming server, outgoing server, personal account, smtp, SSL
I am using Outlook for Mac 2011. I have a personal Gmail account and a business Gmail account (@companyname.com).

I have setup the personal account in Outlook just fine. I'm able to send and receive.

I've created the business Gmail account in Outlook but am only able to receive, cannot send.

for incoming server I've selected: imap.gmail.com - selected to use SSL to connect

for outgoing server I've selected: smtp.gmail.com - selected to override default port (with 587) and to use SSL to connect.

I've tried different combinations and can't figure out how to send from the business Gmail account. What's frustrating is I had to get a new hard drive. This was working fine before but I don't remember the settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tx Chris
