How can I fix this?
Thanks,

I believe I have come across a sync issue with outlook for mac 2011 but I'm looking for some confirmation...
I have a user who renames the subjects of his emails to help with searching for them again later on (simple enough). However it looks as if these changes do not update to the exchange server as when I log onto the mailbox via OWA or windows outlook, the subjects are all the originals. I've tested changing the subjects via windows outlook and OWA and the changes do replicate to all platforms. Seems to be yet again another outlook for mac flaw, has anyone come across this?
Thanks
Nearly 10% of my emails show a strange behaviour:
When I select and export an email message via drag and drop onto the Mac OS desktop and look at it (Cmd-i), it says that this email (.eml) has zero kByte file size. Zero kB! But within Outlook, it has content, some even have attachments, some emails are really big, others are one line of text only. But in any case, ZERO KBYTE can't really be! When I put this Zero-kB EML back to Outlook it then is empty. Of course, because on the desktop the file size was already null.
I tried to find similarities between these zero-emails, but nothing seems to be the source:
- different sizes
- different senders
- different history (some are forwarded, some come directly to me)
- some have attachments, some do not
Rebuilding the database didn't help.
When I Ctrl-Click one of these Zero-kByte emails within Outlook, and I want to choose "Show source" (German original text "Quelle anzeigen"), nothing happens. Only these zero-emails can't show their "Outlook_MessageSource".
My system:
MacPro 2.8 GHz QuadCore Intel Xeon, 16GB RAM
Mac OS X 10.9.1
MS Outlook 2011 (Vs. 14.3.9)

Environment: Exchange Server, 4 Windows Outlook, 1 Mac Outlook 2011.
In one user's mailbox I've created a new contacts folder called "Company Name - Contacts". Shared it successfully to the Windows/Outlook users.
The Mac/Outlook 2011(14.3.9) user received the share invitation email, which appears non-functional. Is that correct? Share invitations simply don't work on Outlook 2011?
The Mac/OL2011 user can go File - Open and select the other user's Inbox, Address Book or Calendar. No apparent way to open other folders.
Is what I'm trying to do impossible with the Mac/Outlook 2011 client..?
Thanks!
Mail rejected by Outlook for policy reasons. The mail server IP connecting to Outlook has exhibited namespace mining behavior. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.
Is this a known issue as several users are having the same problem??
I use Outlook for about a dozen email accounts. A few months ago, I switched 4 of the accounts to IMAP in Outlook and on my iPhone. This worked great.
About a week ago, I switched another POP account to use IMAP on my Mac and iPhone. In Outlook, I created a new IMAP account then deleted the associated POP account. I did the same on my iPhone. I set the IMAP account exactly as my other IMAP accounts (same server, ports, etc., different email address and password). It worked fine including the Sent folder. I have the Sent folder configured to use the Sent folder on the server for Outlook and my iPhone.
Today I discovered that email sent from Outlook for the this IMAP account doesn't store sent messages in the Sent folder. Sent mail for this account sent from my iPhone or WebMail is stored correctly in the Sent folder, and that sent email is downloaded to the Sent folder in Outlook. Sent mail for this account when using Outlook is never stored in it's Sent folder. I have "Grouped similar folders...' set in Preferences-General. I tried unchecked it and rechecked it, and nothing changed.
Does anyone know how I can get my Sent folder working for my IMAP account? Should I try deleting the IMAP account in Outlook, then recreate it? I'm using Outlook 14.3.9.
Thanks,
Chuck
