Yesteday I downloaded email via Outlook 2013 in the morning, and then started noticing that I was getting notifications via the Email App that I had new mail, but Outlook 2013 was not finding it, although it says it is connecting to the server. I routinely use Outlook 2013 in its Classic Shell, and not the Email App in Windows 8.1.

When I sign on to my ISP and check my email on the server, it is all there. When I check the Email App, it is there, but it is not downloading to through Outlook 2013.

Any idea what the problem could b?  It was working properly, and then it wasn't. I have rebooted my computer, and checked my Outlook email settings, nothing looks to be wrong there. I obviously have internet connectivity.  Outlook just looks like it has stopped working as far as the email downloading portion is concerned.

Thanks.

F. Tyler

I've been using Outlook for about 8 months now without any problem until recently.   On November 5th or 6th I started getting Delivery failure messages whenever I tried sending an email.  I don't get the notice right away, it takes 6 hours or longer.

I have Windows 8 and use Internet Explorer 11.  If I log into my email account directly through the provider website and send emails they go through fine, it's only when I send them via Outlook that they fail.  I did apply a Windows 8.1 update around the same timeframe, did the upgrade cause this issue?

Thank you

I am using windows 8.1 pro and outlook 2013.  the mail app and people app are showing my contacts and emails auto-fill the correct way. Outlook 2013 on the desktop is not showing any contacts in address book. The above mentioned check box is clicked. My email for the mail app and outlook and people are all the same. I just loaded the. Windows 8.1 and the computer is new and all windows updates are recent.

Why won't outlook 2013 pull in my people contacts and the calendar from the Microsoft windows 8.1 pro calendar app?

Neither are pulling into the outlook 2013???  this is incredibly annoying. All my emails are synced but my contacts and calendars are blank in outlook.

Please fix and tell me how.

The server could not be found. Account: 'Hotmail', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: '', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12007, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I followed the instructions at outlook.com, left the incoming and outgoing server information with what the program had put in by default, so what now?

Starting last week, I  cannot reply to or forward an existing message or create a new message when answering email from outlook online from my home computer.  This occurs on only one computer and oddly with only one of the windows user logons available on that computer.  From any other win user logon on that computer, I have no such issue.  Thankfully, I can still reply to emails  from my phone and my Surface.

The affected computer runs Win 7.  The issue happens when I am accessing outlook.com from IE.  The computer has been scanned for viruses, malware, etc; none were found.

I saw an answer to this same question for another person on the outlook community page that said try clearing  your browser's cache. I just finished clearing the browser's cache and the problem has not been fixed.

Please help.

I have a msn.com address and since this new outlook thing I am unable to send, reply or forward any emails.  I am accessing my emails via Internet Explorer.  When I click on New Mail or Reply nothing happens, no error message.  I can send emails from my iphone and ipad just not my laptop.  Very frustrating. Please help
how can you link the folders from outlook for mac to hotmail.com acct? i have it set up to delete from server when i delete on outlook but if i need to move something to a folder i have to log on to hotmail.com and do it there? is there a way around this by linking the two, you would think it wouldn't be that hard because it's already linked to delete when i delete just can't see other folders. prob just missing something on my part but any help would be appreciated.
Outlook said to rebuild Outlook for Mac 2011 Database.  Followed instructions found at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2360509/en-us  Apparently rebuild was successful, but now Outlook displays no emails or folder contents.  Message says I have no email setup.  I am hesitant to go about once again setting up email, because instructions referenced above said nothing about the need to do that.  Please advise.
I downloaded and set up Outlook 365 on my Windows computer, put my calendar appointments into the calendar and then logged into Outlook.com and ....nothing. I don't understand??
I am recieving copies of email multiple times.
At random throughout the day, Outlook will all of a sudden send me gorups 20-100 emails, again, and again.
The numbers of email vary, and are becoming increasingly annoying.

Might any of you have some idea of what could be causing this.
