Hi!

In Outlook 2010, I could easily edit an attachment directly within the e-mail (via the menu item "Actions" --> "Edit Message"). There, I could edit the attachment and save it directly back to the email, without having to save the document on the computer first, edit it and then send it again via Mail. In Outlook 2011 for Mac there is this menu item as well ("Edit Message"), but I cannot edit the attachment (it is still classified as "Read only").

So my question is: Can I edit an attachment directly in the e-Mail and save it back to the same e-Mail in Outlook 2011 for Mac as well as in Outlook 2010?

Best regards from Germany

I am using Outlook for Mac 2011 on a MacBook Air under an Office 365 subscription. Can anyone tell me I get my Outlook calendar to appear on my iPhone calendar app without going through the rigmarole of manually syncing with iTunes? Thanks.
I have Outlook 2011 and some people send me calendar invitations from iCloud.

Outlook becomes unresponsive and takes a long time to process the invitation, mostly it pauses very annoyingly.

It also stays on the invitation when I click to another email in my inbox ie I select another email and the conternts chnage but the header information stays the same - this cant be right as Outlook freezes and most of the time I have to quit and relaunch Outlook.

I have rebuilt my database, and I have even removed the Microsoft User Data folder and had it start fresh, with out any luck.

Im on 10.8.5, Outlook 14.3.9
Nine times out of ten when I start Outlook it get a demand to insert my Google gmail password, which I do. Eventually it settles down and I can use Outlook. Any way to circumvent this problem? Is it possible to reinstall Outlook on its own, without interfering with Word etc.

Thank you,

Pat
Hi there,

I was very interested in consolidating my e-mails into Outlook, I have one @live account through outlook.com, as well, I have outlook for my work exchange.  Primarily I am interested on consolidating the emails so they all show up on every computer (or device such as my iPhone), including my contacts and calendars.

Is there a way to feasibly do this?

Thanks!
I have waited patiently through three Office updates to see if my problem was rectified.Over 18 months ago Outlook began to keep demanding my Google mail password up to ten times before Outlook settled down to work properly. Driving me demented it is. I rely more on Apple Mail now for my mail services, but I would prefer Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011. Would it help if I uninstalled Office entirely and then reinstalled it?

Please help,

Pat

Outlook was working OK about 90mins ago. Not I'm getting this message: Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook at the moment. Also, cannot access emails from my tablet. I have switched my broadband off and back on, as well as logging off the laptop. I don't know how to cure this. Also, if you check the status of Outlook it tells you everything is working OK. Please help me get back into my emails.
