Microsoft could not resolve it but invited me to contact Outlook expert which I have not done as it looked far too technical and complicated. The synchronisation problem started after I had created numerous folders in order to tidy up my e-mail boxes. 150 errors mostly Send/Receive and in the end could not receive or send emails. My contacts were having their e-mails sent back to them!  I would like to create folders again in Windows Live. Can someone help me to achieve this without creating similar problems?

I deleted a good 100 emails from my deleted items folder using Outlook on Windows. So they are all permanently gone.
I open Outlook on Mac and go to deleted items and scroll to the date range that I deleted and I can still see all of them.

Any ideas where to start with troubleshooting?

thanks

Hi guys, hope someone can help.

I am experiencing issues with Outlook for Mac 2011. When users create their own entries in public calendars they can edit / delete them no problem up until about 2 weeks after the creation date. Then only people set to the 'Owner' permission can edit or delete them.

This is affecting all users. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know how to sort it?

On the MacBook Pro, O/S 10.8.5, Microsoft Outlook 2011: For some emails with a later time of receipt, they are appearing in the inbox lower down, beneath other emails that were already received earlier on, instead of at the top, like normal. What could be causing this?
Hi there.

Outlook duplicates message when moving into a subfolder.
I'have usual local email hosting provider with IMAP SSL protocoll.

I did that

  1. When message receives
  2. Then i move into a subfolder, (so far ok)
  3. After the move Outlook syncs automaticliy folders and after sync pops a duplicated email an the new duplicated emails is UnRead
I'also maked a video of this problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8Sr3T12f38

I'have gooeled around and tried every possible solution out there
Rebuild database, new identy, remove accound and re add account. And no use.

My Mac Mavericks and Outlook has the lates updates.

I dont have this problem with other email clients.

This is really annoing.

When I delete my messages in outlook 2011 they are not deleted in Outlook Web App.
I have others computers with Windows running Outlook 2010 and this sync works normaly.
Here's the problem:

I have MS Office 2011 with Outllok and at some point, Outlook crashed and I was asked to rebuold trhe database. Did so, and late found out that a whole lot of mail from a period of about a month was missing. Both from Sent Items and Inbox - from the same period.

In Outlook I have several folders with sorted mail stored locally, that is ... maiul which is no longer on the IMAP server. I also have several folders with sorted mail under the Inbox on the server.

The missing mail is missing from the Inbox and from Sent Items.

I started torebuild the database without succes (error -18000) several times.

At this point Outlook is up and running again, but all those mails are still missing, and in the process it also lost (contact to) all the locally stored folders with sorted email for different projects and tasks.

---

My objective is to get everything back to how it was. I need the missing mail, and I need the local folders with their content. I am sure the local folders are somewhere on the harddisk, but where are they and how do I get them back into Outlook?

The good thing is: I have a TimeMachine backup made a few days before the apocalyptic crash. If I can restore that, everything is there, except mail newer that the backup date, but that's not a problem, since that mail is still on the IMAP server.

However - the missing mail that dissappeared from the Inbox and Sent Items is NOT on the server.

So how do I go about this?

----

My plan is:
Change the mail password, so Outllok cannot syncronize with the server.
Restore from time machine, so I will get all the mail back - including the missing messages.
Locate the missing messages in Outlooks Inbox and Sent Items, which will hopefully be there, until Outlook syncronizes with the server.
Copy the missing mails to two made-for-this-purpose local folders.
Change the password back, syncronize and then move the missing messages to their respective folders, so the server will accept them and not delete them.

----

Questions:
Does the above sound like the right way to go?
What folders and files is it I should restore from TimeMachine?
Should I delete everyting in /Documents/Peter/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities before I start?
What else would I need to do that I did not think of?

All help appreciated and welcome.

:-)

Desperate Peter

(if it is important: MacBook Air 2 GHz i7, 8 GB RAM runnin 10.8.5 and the backups were made on a network connected Time Capsule. I looked at the Time Capsule and found the backup is a .dmg file that I have copied to an external USB harddisk which is now connected directly to the MacBook Air. Doubleclicking the .dmg files results in a disk image on the Desktop)
I'm using Outlook 2011 (updated to the latest version) on Mac OS 10.8, to connect to an Exchange server (2010 I believe). On all the clients (desktop, laptops), when I export to .olm file, it crashes during the Calendar export. Since it happens on multiple clients, I don't think it's corruption of an identity in Outlook; what do I do to get it exported (backed up) properly?
