First, let it be known that I am working with 2 macintosh computers.
I moved my outlook account from one computer the other, and successfully transferring all of my account attributes (contacts, folders, emails, etc). However, I can no longer receive incoming emails on either my old computer (which still has the account synced) or my new one. I can send emails, no problem
I did not make any changes to the account information; I copied it perfectly. There are no changes made to the incoming server, both are POP, it's exactly the same. There were no changes made to my old computer, except that I exported my data file. I had no problems yesterday.
One other thing that might have an impact is that I moved from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2011.
Does anybody have insight? (please don't recommend restarting my computer - it's been done)
I set up my email to use IMAP for Outlook.com on Outlook 2011 for Mac. All has been working fine but since yesterday I keep getting the following error whilst trying to check my email
MAIL COULD NOT BE RECEIVED AT THIS TIME
The server for account xxxxxxx returned the error
Error 8: Server Error. Please try again later. Your
username/password or security settings may be
incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your
password?
I can login to my outlook account on web without a problem. I only have the problem when trying to retrive mail on my mac on outlook 2011. What is causing this problem?

I've deleted the email accounts from WLM and added them again, but nothing. I also uninstalled Windows Live and reinstalled bu still nothing. I was getting error ID 0x8DE00001 when I tried to synch, but now i'm getting this periodic, and rather tragic, trumpet sound.

When I attempt to close my Hotmail/msn.com email account, the system gives me the following message:
To close your Outlook account, you must first cancel your billing service. Go to Microsoft Account and Billing Services at https://billing.microsoft.com.
This service was canceled in 2007 and the page says CANCELED. How can I cancel something that is already been canceled?
I need to close that msn/Hotmail account immediately as all it does is send SPAM mail to contacts I had 8 years ago.
PLEASE HELP.
It looks like this is a common problem. Geoffrey A. was able to resolve for another person on here on July 4th - question title "can't close my Hotmail account"
I have a problem on iOS where I have set up my Outlook account on an iPhone 5 (running iOS 7.0.3) and iPad mini (same iOS). I enter the password for my account and it works fine for several hours (sometimes up to 24/36 hours) then 'forgets' it and I have to enter it again. I have tried googling an answer to this issue but have found no definitive answer. Please help!
