When I call up Movie Maker, it no longer lists all the wimp videos I have created, but only the one I created in the past few days.
Where are all those others filed? The wmv are all under videos; the wimps no where to be found.
I am using a acer aspire 5745 laptop
i5 processor
3gb ram
high definition drivers
windows7 ultimate
directx 10.0 version
but my movie maker is not working
how can i fix it

I recently updated windows movie maker (and all of windows live essentials) from 2011 to 2012. As soon as the update was complete, I was unable to use movie maker live. I get an error message saying that it cannot start. I CAN use windows live writer 2012.
The problem with movie maker occurred immediately after I upgraded from the 2011 to the 2012 version.
I want to emphasize that movie maker 2011 worked just fine, with no problem. The problem occurred immediately upon upgrading to 2012.
I have tried to update my video driver, however intel, which makes the graphics hardware, tells me I must get the update from Acer (my computer OEM). When I go to Acer, there is no update available. I tried going back to intel, but they won't allow me
to download a stock driver.
Is there anyway I can roll back to the 2011 version of Movie Maker?

I have a very frustrating problem. I make the movie, i.e. download the clips to movie maker, edit them and add captions etc and then I save it like I would save any other Microsoft file/document but when I try to open the movie again the clips won't open. I can see that the clips are there but they have a yellow triangle and it says that the clip is lost and it cannot find it. I do not know what I am doing wrong! I just save the movie and then it says that the clips are lost and will not open. Any ideas?

I'm having trouble with your windows live movie maker (version 2011).
I have been trying to save a movie I created, and I keep getting an error stating:
"sorry, your movie can't be saved. find any missing files or remove the unusable items from your project, and then try again"
error 0x80070057.
I can play the movie in the movie maker at most times, but sometimes i get an exclamation mark instead of some of my videos.
When I close and re-open the software, it fix the problem.
I tried to read about that specific error, but got no helpful answers,

I am a small gaming channel on YouTube and I use movie maker all the time. Just recently I went to upload my video and it said it can not upload a video over 15 min. and it would not upload my video. I know there is other ways to do it but they are too hard, Can You Please Help Me,
I just got a hand me down windows 7 PC that used to be my dads, but when i tried to load movie maker I got a pop-up that said Windows Essentials has stopped working and I need it to work by September for school stuff. I've tried everything i know but
it just isn't working.
