Our inbox looks like its going through a back up or something and all inbox emails have disappeared.  HELP- I cannot even find a place to contact Microsoft about this.  Just a series of stupid 'FAQ' without support. this is our business.

David

In the past two days, I've received two messages to my gmail account (which is backup to my hotmail), saying that a password reset request has been made for my hotmail/outlook account. Yesterday, the message said my account was verified and asked me to reset the password. (Yes, it was definitely from Microsoft; someone had tried to set up an account in my name.) I clicked on the link in the message to cancel the request. This morning, I received another message from Microsoft in my gmail account, asking if I'd requested a password reset. I again clicked on the link to cancel, and the page I got to said the link had expired. I'm concerned about possible access to my account, though I have 2-factor authentication set up on both gmail and hotmail. Is there anything additional I can/should do?
Is there a list of files Microsoft blocks and  plans to block from being uploaded to SkyDrive? It seems like every day more files are being blocked that I was previously able to be uploaded to SkyDrive.  The latest are Microsoft sample ACME files from a Microsoft app on my android device that was backed up using the ClickFree Backup App to my SkyDrive.

I can see the need to block content that is offensive or against the law but to start blocking by file type, name or because its a Microsoft sample file is going a little bit too far. If this is the case then as a business I think we will need to find another solution for backing up/storing/exchanging files on the cloud. Does your Office 365 work with any other cloud vendors?

Dear Microsoft,

I received the below message. My issue number is:  94511711. It looks like I am shut out from my account entirely and am recommended to start a new account. I feel I have given valid answers to the security survey and am 100% sure I have gotten my security question right in addition to birth date and other requested info. Through this whole process there was no real person to support me and I have only gotten automated responses with no chance for further questions. 10 years with an email account. Ended just like that.

I access my mail via mobile and do not remember my password because it is already set. Only when switching phones did I realize I no longer remember my password. Even trying to get help I need to sign up to this Forum and forced to sign up for a new Microsoft ID. I have had recent customer experiences with Apple, Evernote and Microsoft you are truly a laggard when held up to your peers.

Can someone please help me?

BR,
Terrible Experience with Microsoft

Your security is important to us
Recently, we received several requests to gain access to w*** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your ownership using the information that was provided. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously. We are committed to protecting your personal information, and our careful account recovery process is intended to protect you from any possible malicious activity.

Now what?
Because there have been multiple unsuccessful recovery attempts for this account, we recommend at this point that you create a new account. It's quick and easy, and we have tools to help you import contacts, connect with Facebook, and even receive messages from multiple email accounts.

My Outlook accounts are blocked. I am unable to do the online verification because I have insufficient info. Texting or calling phone with verification code doesn't work as I think I've put in a landline number and I'm not even sure if I included national code. Now my main Outlook email account doesn't even recognise my password to let me try online verification again, although given that I've been unsuccessful umpteen times there seems little chance that I'd suddenly be successful.

Microsoft Support do not appear to be properly supporting people. I see a lot of similar blocking events with other folk around 18th July 2013. Microsoft have a big problem here, and they do not appear to be properly helping their customers to sort it.

This has got to be one of the most stressful things I have ever encountered. I don't need this stress. I have anti-virus and keep Windows up to date. This is not my fault. I could have important emails waiting - job interviews even. This is driving me to distraction.

I don't know how exactly I worded my security question, but the essence of it is correct - it surely just needs someone to manually check!

HELLLPPP!
I use the option "join accounts" in Outlook. This morning this option deactivated, without letting me know when this would happen. The big problem is that I can't reset the password despite all the information provided to Microsoft. (I can say I'm really angry!)

I see just one other solution, I use live domains can you please activate the option: reset password.

My domain is: gatto-rosso.nl
