I tried to fix this using the instructions in Microsoft support (creating a new DWORD)

However this didn't work - so the message said contact support - and when you do - there is no support! 
So, can anyone out there suggest another fix I can try?

After replying to another thread (http://answers.microsoft.com/thread/dd8811a0-c873-4e37-9d1c-da69a58f6a15), and providing more information in private messages to Microsoft support, I was asked by Eugene R. (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/profile/9e318ed7-b793-4987-af5d-16dce522e79e) to open up a new thread so this issue may be escalated.

 

To summarize, we are unable to receive messages on our domain (xdrradiology.com) from any Microsoft mail service (Hotmail, MSN, outlook.com).

 

We have no trouble receiving mail from other sources (including gmail.com for example). The problem is specific to email being sent from MS mail services.

 

Here is an example of the error (I put asterix in to mask part of the email address - I can send in the full header if you'd like in a private message):

Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 The mail could not be delivered to the recipient because the domain is not reachable. Please check the domain and try again

 

This is preventing certain customers from reaching us so we'd like to get this resolved as soon as possible. I already had our web host (hostingdivision.com) look into things on their end, and they are not seeing anything unusual. And, like a said earlier, the addresses on xdrradiology.com are not having any trouble receiving mail from other sources. We are also not having any trouble sending mail to any sources from xdrradiology.com addresses.

My Skydrive account has been blocked and was causing some issues with the rest of the functionalities such as Outlook. I got help with that from Microsoft Support and Outlook and everything is working well, with the exception of the Skydrive which is still blocked!
I have reported it yesterday, and the 24hrs period have come and gone and the account is still blocked. Tried reporting it again and it did not go through!
Tried your live chat, and unlike yesterday, the gentleman who replied today was not helpful at all.
I have personal photos as well as some photos of work related issues that had to be documented with my phone due to the limited resources available at the time.
Who can help me and when??

I followed the link.  The "responded to your support request"  was just asking me a couple of questions.  Something like did I change anything recently.  I can't login to see the actual questions.  However, I posted a response to the proposed questions.

The next email I received was:

I'm not going to type all that in.  It was a request for me to take a survey!  There idea of support was to ask me two (2) questions!  They provided NO answer/solution!  I took the survey.  Microsoft's wonderful support aside;

I can no longer log into my account.  Why?  hotmail/outlook.com is now requiring a cell phone/alternative email address for an account I have had since 1999.  I DO NOT have a cell phone.  I DO NOT want a digital leash (cell phone).  My hotmail email account is the only one I have.  It is the only one I've used.  It is crazy to create an account for the sole purpose of validating an existing account.  I don't want another password.  I don't want to occasionally log into an account just to keep it active so that it doesn't get disabled.

I am locked out of my account (and support) because I don't have a cell phone or alternative email address.
I will fill in what my previous complaint was, I have posted since earlier this year with this problem and never get help.

Ok...I figured I'd explain this problem 100% clearly as I have moaned, complained, rang in and posted so many times over the past few months that it's getting beyond annoying and I'm paying for every day I'm not using it.

Ok awhile back I tried signing in to my *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account.  I have had this account since 1999 and never had problems.  Due to its age EVERYTHING I started to do went through it, paypal, facebook, youtube, Xbox membership the works.  Then the outlook takeover happened.  And then my account got blocked.  No reason.  1 day went to sign in blocked.

  Upon signing in I got the usual links this is blocked if you want to unblock click links, do security check, pass it and still nothing.

EVERYTIME I ring....I spend about 40minutes explaining my problem, giving new reference numbers to different people, and STILL get sent exactly the same thing...a password reset link.  THIS DOES NOT WORK ON BLOCKED ACCOUNTS!  I tell them and they say please just click the link, I have done it so many times now I have changed my password over 40 times to random words I see in the house while on the phone to them, even telling them it will not work, they say they'll ring back, and never do.

Only 1 time did I make progress, and that was a congratulations you can unblock your account by clicking this link, to click it and the link not working.....on ANY internet browser(chrome, firefox...even explorer) on 3 different laptops...in 2 different houses.

My main reason of my anger is due to the same link to reset password being passed to me at least 10 times a day, it not working and my kids wanting to go on his xbox account)and mine for the 60+k achievement score and live) but can't because you have to sign in with the blocked account to change the email.....

I have done all the basics, cleared cache, passwords cookies etc, it literally happened as outlook took over and has made my life a quarter impossible due to my online transactions being lost to me.


The most annoying response is

I KNOW!  I was HACKED!  I have never had trouble like this before in ALL the years since '99 I have used it, so it kinda annoys me how I'm a paying customer to Xbox and ebay and now can't even do basics due to a stupid mistake
