I've tried numerous times to download and install microsoft movie maker on my windows 8.1 machine.  The installer consistently gets to 34% and the freezes.

I've been able to install and use it on other Windows 8.1 computers yet it won't install on mine.

Every time I have ever tried to start the Movie Maker application on my computer it has given me that error code. I have used windows fix it tool in this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944221/en-us and it does not fix it. I also reinstalled it from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/movie-maker#t1=overview and I still get the same message. Tried to run it in compatibility mode to no avail. How do I fix this?

Hi!

windows movie maker 2012 does not support some files - .mpg and others, I can only hear video files not see them...

Thank You!

I am looking to make a clip using Photoshop pics but Microsoft movie maker doesn`t seem to accept my files :(
How do I add more than 1 text box to a slide? I am trying to make one text box pop up on a picture & then 2 seconds later make another text box pop up.
I'm having issues with Microsoft Movie Maker for Windows 7.  It has decided it won't show any of my animation transitions. I have uninstalled it and resinstalled & had success with it working again for a short-time then it just makes them all disappear again.  I have the latest version of movie maker, I'm up to date on my video drivers & windows updates in general to my knowledge.  I don't know what else to do...anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?
I wanted to make a one big movie using Microsoft Movie Maker by individually editing scenes/videos/clips and then I was planning on putting them all together for the movie. But when I tried to add one, I couldn't find the projects I was working on. When I changed the domain of the folder from 'All supported files' to 'all files,' I was able to see all my projects, but I couldn't get them to go in. I even tried using "Freemake Video Converter" (which I used to convert the unusable XSplit recordings I made to Windows Movie Viewer files to use in Movie Maker), but that didn't work either. I think the problem is that now that I saved them in Movie Maker, they are no longer video files, but project files, so that's why it isn't working. Even if I'm right, I still don't know the solution. I'm here to ask for help on this topic. I'd LOVE if I got this answered today, but I dought ... Wait a minute, if I upload them onto YouTube so they're back to video files, and then ... I really don't know from there. Maybe re-record them, but only as a last resort. Well, I just came up with a round-a-bout way to solve it, but if anyone wants to give me a better, less time consuming answer, that'd be great. I'm not even sure if this plan will work so please, there are no stupid answers. (Except I don't know)
