When I first created my Microsoft account, I used a .edu email. The email is no longer active and I'm unable to access the account. Is there a way to "transfer" my Xbox gamer profile to a new Microsoft account?
New computer with Windows 8. Used primary email address, not Hotmail, as Microsoft account to access computer. Using IE browser, my Outlook account lost all prior email, (IN box, Sent, Contacts etc) and the ONLY mail I receive is messages from Microsoft. Using
Firefox browser, I get the old Hotmail format, not Outlook. I can receive and send email, but can not move emails to folders. I can view my mail on Outlook with no problems on old computer that has XP. How can I receive and send email from Outlook using
Windows 8?
i cant access my microsoft account because ive forgotten the password and the security answer due to not using it for a long time, its only used to sign in to xbox live on my console and it was working fine untill a couple of days ago when it came up with
an error code and now i cant access xbox live please help
When I attempted to access the account to do so, I was given the "You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here
to sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account)." error and no other means of accessing that account.
Accidentally, I have created two Microsoft accounts. The first is linked to my university Office 365 email. The second I created with my gmail when I signed up for an Xbox Live account.
I prefer the gmail MS account, because the inbox and calendar are clean and well-organized. I do not like my MS account that is linked to my university Office 365 email, because the Office 365 inbox and calendar are messy and cluttered, and I can't get
into Outlook.com. Instead of being able to use that inbox, I get the error message "You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here to sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another
Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account)". However, my university email has many important emails in it, and it's linked to all the documents in my Skydrive.
So, I have two questions about this:
- I would like to delete the MS account linked to my university email, and forward all emails going into here into my gmail MS account. But, if I delete my university MS account, will this delete my entire inbox? Won't I be able to access this inbox via the Office 365 log-in page, even if I delete the university MS account?
- How can I transfer my SkyDrive information from my university account to my gmail MS account? It appears that I can switch my Xbox information from one MS account to another with ease, but can I do this with my Skydrive information?
Hello,
As the title says, I want to change my Microsoft account from the current @gmail.com address to an existing @outlook.com, both my accounts. These are both Microsoft accounts.
I tried in the account option to rename or add an alias but I get the same error, "You can't use @outlook.com in your Microsoft account email address.". I searched on various website and on this one but I did not find any logic or specific answer.
I do not want my Gmail address anymore, I want to move to Outlook and use my @outlook.com address as my primary email.
If anyone can provide some info on this...
Thanks in advance.
I have to access my microsoft account in connection with my Son's xbox. As I am going to access sensitive information a code has been sent to another email address. When I went to this address to get the code; I found that the address is no longer valid
and any emails sent to it cannot be retrieved. I believe it is going to take 30 days to reset, which means that my Son will not have use of his xbox live for this period.
I have Windows 8 on my PC and I went into the PEOPLE catagory on my start screen. I tryed to add my MICROSOFT account and something was incorrect and it kept syncing. So it told me to go to my PC setting and close the account. I THOUGHT it was just being
closed from the PEOPLE window but apparently it closed the Microsoft account from my PC Is there anything I can do to recover my account?
OK so I've tried this on two sites, don't know for other sites..
1 - skype.com
2 - careers.research.microsoft.com
First sign in to one of this sites using your microsoft account and then sign out.. Now open a new tab and open outlook.com or skydrive.com , it will directly open your account.. So what is with signout? Every time we have to open new tab and sign out from outlook or skydrive?
