I use a mac and have the latest operating system, lion.
What is going on?
Today for examply, no mails are coming in for hours and then suddenly there will appear but not all.
I cannot add or delete contacts in the new "people" system or move people into graoups. I am getting very frustrated -I think it is about time I moved to G-mail!

I have been using my email address (email 1) for years now, and now i cannot sign into it any more. I've read that this is because i used the email(email 1) as an alias to another email (email 2)? i have now closed the email (email 2) but it tells me i
have to wait 270 days until it gets deleted permanently. after these 270 days, only then, i can recreate my account (email 1).
i really don't wish to make a new email because i have signed up to many websites for newsletters, updates, etc.. also, i don't fancy changing every account i have online to my new email as this is too time consuming..
Is there a way to delete my email (email 1) account permanently and immediately?
I know it's a big ask, but is there also a way of transferring all my old emails to this new, recreated account?

I established a folder to save email in my Hotmail account. I recently went to the folder, opened the message and THE CONTENT OF THE MESSAGE IS MISSING! What happened to it and can it be retrieved?

Could it be that the account was hacked and something changed? On my i phone that particular account is the default account, so every time I go into mail on the phone, it tells me "The username or password for
.....@ hotmail.com is incorrect". But the password or username has definitely not been changed by me.
There is a mail from hotmail live team in my account asking to give login-id, password and other personal details. It has hyperlinks linking to Microsoft sites. It says if the info is not given in 48 hours the account will freeze. It also gives the procedure
to back heavy files saying that hotmail servers are choked. Is this mail which sounds authentic from microsoft or some hacker?
I have not heard from anyone that they are receiving erroneous emails from me but I don't know why I am receiving emails (that end up in my junk mail) that say they are from me. I have changed my password a couple of times in the past couple of months. What should I do?
