I recently changed my Microsoft password, with which I can go online via the Microsoft website to view my mail, however when I changed the password on my mail settings on my laptop, it says that my username or password are incorrect. I changed my password again, yet the problem persists. I have the same issue on my phone and tablet. What am I missing? Please assist..
I can automatically forward incoming emails easily from my new bigpond email account to a back up account in the mail settings. I cannot find a way to similarly automatically forward the emails I send from this account to the back up account. The technical support team at Telstra told me that they were not allowed to tell me how to do this (go figure), but said it could be done. Does anyone know how to do this please?

Scenario:

- The company has an existing domain name (gorzsa.hu).
- I recently set up the MX record and the domain.live.com setting successfully.
- I was able to create, and then log in with my newly created account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

Problem:
I wanted to set up the previously used E-mail address as an external E-mail to be downloaded with a pop connection into the new, Live Account. The previously used E-mail address was *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

The settings for the external account have already been used in a client software, and are still working. The settings are:

POP server: pop.invitel.hu
port: 995
using SSL: YES
the format of the username is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Password is correct, I know that because I tested with external E-mail client software (Outlook)

Tests performed:
I checked from a different country, so to make sure, the E-mail domain "invitel.hu" ALLOWS downloading E-mails from a different country - therefore it should work.

If I would like to set up the external address (More mail settings, Your email accounts, Add a send-and-receive account, etc.) the live.com page first accepts the settings, then asks me to which folder I would like to download the E-mails. This is correct until here.

But then it says (sorry the error message is in hungarian): "Hiba történt az üzenetek egyéb fiókokból való beolvasása közben." which basically means in translation, "There was an error during reading messages from other accounts" (or similar, sorry for my translation if its not exact).

An error code would be definitely helpful for sysadmins!

Just to mention, I already confirmed the account ownership from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

Again, these E-mail settings work fine from an Outlook client software installed on a computer locally.

Please assist me how to solve this problem.

Thanks,

Live.com user.

I've even tried forwarding things to myself at my Hotmail and Yahoo addresses, and nothing shows up. In the mail settings there is a 'forwarding' link, but all that seems to do is enable me to forward everything to another address. As are many, I was very disappointed when Hotmail became Outlook. To say it's harder to use is a gross understatement. As with most things Microsoft, the mindset seems to be, "if it works we'll fix it until it doesn't, then create something new-that also doesn't work. But different is better, right?"

windows 8

Re instructions I have seen on this web site.

1. Sign in to Outlook.com.

2. Click on the cog icon then select More mail settings.

3. Under Reading email, click on Content from third-party networks.

4. Select Don't show public content from third-party networks.

5. Click on Save button

Cog icon has no such listing as more mail settings- sometime the save button is not lit.  Once I managed to remove the little picture on the Hotmail page but it just came back.  Once the save button lit up but still did not save.

Once I managed to remove the picture from my sign-on screen but now it is back again.

From Outlook.com, I click on the settings icon then 'More mail settings' then 'Your email accounts'. I see in the 'Outlook aliases' box my yahoo.com email address with a 'Send only' label next to it.  But when I go to manage aliases under 'Email address for notifications' page, my yahoo account is not shown. Can someone tell me how I can delete the yahoo footprint from the oulook.com account?  Thank you.

I've not been receiving emails on my live account (with a personalized domain name) for the past 7 days. I've checked my mail settings for blocked senders and deleted mail to free up space just in case but still now getting any emails. However, I can send email from the account and confirm it is delivered. I'm just not receiving emails.

Could someone please assist? I have some urgent mails that I believe is stuck somewhere and I need access to all my mails.

Regards,

Uwa.
