Why do I get junk email in my outlook inbox account when it is set fpr exclusive only?
How can I stop receiving junk email on my inbox? lately it seems to be too many ads, spam, and general junk mails on my account, I have all of my security set to private and only to only receive from senders and safe list yet I am receiving 10 spams a day with this!!!

Starting a few days ago I have been getting up to 20 obvious junk emails a day in my inbox. Never before has junk email gone to my inbox and I am starting to get very annoyed. I have not entered my email on any websites so i have no idea ehy this has started. I do not want to set my email filter to "Exclusive" since I get multiple emails for work that are not on my contact list. I have set rules and blocked senders and neither of these solutions have helped. I dont have time to sort through all of this junk mail and i would appreciate someone looking into this.
Over the last week I have been getting an increasing amount of 'junk' emails (mainly PPI related) into my inbox, however my junk filter is set to exclusive. So it should go into my junk folder.

I am marking them as junk and sweeping them too.

Could my account have been hacked?
Is there another reason how junk email is slipping through the net?
How do I stop junk coming into my inbox?
How can I tell if my account has been hacked?

Need some advice in blocking emails from the hotmail domain without blocking my hotmail contacts. I have my inbox set to Exclusive which was great as only emails from my contacts or trusted email addresses were delivered to my inbox. All the rest was sent to my junk box.

 

Well today, I've started to get junk email from hotmail accounts into my inbox and I'm not sure why that has started or how to stop it.

 

If I add the domain "@hotmail" to my blocked list won't that automatically delete ALL incoming emails that have the @hotmail domain as oppose to just sending them to the junk folder. I want to send them to the junk folder so I can screen them in case I get an email from a @hotmail address that I need to add to the safe list.

 

I'm not sure how to filter out and send the junk @hotmail emails to the junk folder because as I mentioned, Outlook used to filter it out (and only send contacts or those on the safe list to my inbox) but now I'm getting all emails that end with @hotmail to my inbox regardless of the fact that they are not on my safe list or contact list.

 

Edit: I've started receiving junk email to my inbox from other domains too. I don't want to have to keep reporting them as junk because a) there is a lot and spammers constantly change their domain and b) I shouldn't be receving them if my email setting is set to Exclusive.

 

Any advice on how to adjust this back to the way it used to be or why this has suddenly started?

I have a hotmail account for several years, up until yesterday the junk email always would be in the junk folder, now it is coming into my inbox. I have even deleted my whole safe sender list and I still received a junk email into my inbox. What is going on?
Cannot access or empty Junk Mail folder or Draft. This sucks. What is going on? Yes, I've cleared my browser's cookies and temporary internet files. They are not causing this issue. I've NEVER had this problem until I was converted to Outlook.com, without my permission or knowledge. Total ****. I need to be able to access my Junk and Draft folders. What is the solution? And, don't blame it on anything other than Microsoft's problem/error.  I cannot logout because everything freezes as soon as I login. This has never happened with Hotmail. This has only happened when I was converted to Outlook. Horrible customer service. Ugh.
