Send on stored e-mails via e-mail

On wishing to reply to an e-mail and attaching an existing e-mail from my files, I used to go to 'Attach File', where 'Item'' would display, taking me into my e-mail files.

The 'Item' does not now display and I can't attach existing e-mails when responding etc..

I cannot delete any messages. Once I select an item, click delete, it returns to the in-box of outlook 2011.

I've got over 6700 emails in my inbox. Every time I delete them, they return.  One junk message came in today and every time I attempted to delete it, it multiplied.

how do you delete parts of a string of exchanges under a single item from the IN BOX ?
