This:

Create rule Inbox>Options>Create rule

Organize your incoming email by applying this rule
Step 1: Which messages do you want this rule to apply to?

etc

DOES NO LONGER WORK since the mandatory upgrade to Outlook.

I get THIS error:

Outlook wasn't able to update your rules. Your existing rules are unaffected.

Is there a fix for this, it can't be only me having this issue.

Windows Live Mail 2012; when attempting to reply to an incoming email, the following error message (in it's entirety!) appears:  "A problem occurred trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again." When attempting to draft a new outgoing message, the same error message appears. I cannot draft an email, whether as a reply or as a new email; therefore I can't send any messages. I did the Windows Live Essentials repair but no success. This problem has been addressed numerous times but no reply has actually resulted in success. This email program has been my favorite but my only recourse is to remove it and use an alternate. FYI: this is the third problem I have posted; no one has successfully solved any of them. Pretty poor help forum, eh?

I have just received an email from someone I know well, so there is no reason for suspicion in that direction.

The email has probably been sent from her computer at work, and likely to have gone out through their server(s).

My normal email format (fictitious name used) is similar to ------ *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
The email address which was represented in the incoming email was - fredsmith x26 x2364 x3bhotmail com.

Note particularly the absence of the @ symbol in the incoming email.

Can anyone explain this please?

Cheers,

Ian

Suddenly yesterday my Outlook just stopped showing any incoming email. I can get emails to my mobile and PC. What should I do to get Outlook for Mac working again?

I did not change any settings while this happened, was just reading emails normally.

Br, Jussi

I need to read an email urgently.  Why can't I refuse skype and still keep my account.  This went on all week until yesterday then it worked.  Today back to skype.  This feels like you are demanding i accept a service I don't want.  Sure there must be regulations about this behaviour

when I get an incoming email now I can not print the email without getting the whole page of the sides and the other email titles
How do I print just the incoming email on its own.

Windows 7 this has only happened after the changeover to Outllook
When I forward an incoming email to other email accounts, be it yahoo, hotmail, or gmail, I list all recipient email addresses in "cc" and "bcc". But the recipient not only can see the forwarded email but can also see other email addresses as well. How can I prevent the recipient to see other email addresses other than the email address of himself or herself? In other words, how can the recipient only see his or her email without any other email addresses disclosed as if he or she is the only recipient?
On Messenger, in the options box, under sounds, under Messenger Sounds, there are sounds one can choose to alert a user when a contact signs in, or a new there is a new instant message, new email message, or when there is an incoming voice or video call, as well as Live alerts and nudges. Each of these sounds are customize-able. They can be muted, a default sound can be changed to a new sound from a list provided, or a new sound provided by me can be added.

I would like to know if all of these options are still available.

I would like to keep my 'add a new sound' option especially for my incoming emails.

On Skype will I be able to provide and add my own sound to 'announce' an incoming email to my Hotmail inbox?

Will more sound options be available?

Thanks,

Fall Fairie
I now have 2 PCs, one running XP and the other Windows 7. My email provider is O2 and I have the same email account (Windows Live Mail) on both PCs. However, if I read a new incoming email on one PC it does not appear on the other PC. Is it possible to have all incoming emails automatically shown on both PCs? I am quite unknowledgeable about such matters so would appreciate it if any advice is a simple do this, do that etc etc. Many thanks for any help you can offer.
