Missing Hotmail account.

My fiancee lost access to her Hotmail account about a year ago and recently brought it to my attention. I've tried to restore it and it pops up saying that the account does not exist. 


I've tried looking for support and tried getting live help.. To be honest this whole situation has been a mildly frustrating. Every lead I get turns into a dead end. Hotmail / Outlook live support does not exist and when I click on the live help for a Microsoft account it results in a server error saying the page does not exist. 

Long story short : I'd like to know if there is anything I can do to find out what happened to my fiancee's account. Microsoft is telling me that it simply does not exist.. when I know for a fact that it does.

I have had Hotmail as my default windows live mail for several years and it was my incoming pop3 and outgoing smtp on my computers and til about a month ago was for my LG Android phone too.  Not I can't sent photos over Hotmail and I can't use Hotmail or get it connected on my mobile phone.  Do I need to have a paid account with Hotmail to be able to make it pop3 again and have all the same features I use to have?  IF so, how do I go about that in a safe way?  Thank you.

I have always loved Microsoft...not so happy atm...  I was happy with hotmail on my iPhone.  I logged on to my microsoft windows 7 laptop and changed from my wonderful HOTMAIL to OUTLOOK.  I thought - ok - i need to update my iphone settings/mail wtih this new password.  UGHHH... I was unable no matter what to get into it on the Iphone 4S.   After internet searches, i deleted hotmail on my phone and re-entered info several times.  Still say username/password issues... After giving up, days later, i saw a post to access on safari.  I did that.  no luck.  Then FINALLY, yesterday, i was able to get to my hotmail on Safari - they finally gave me those stupid letters/numbers in a combo and format i could actually read - sorry i am over 50 - and yes!  I was into email/hotmail now outllook on Safari.  I could not access email - mind you - it brought me to the account settings and for the life of me i saw no where to click to get to mail.  So i thought...let's change the settings on email on the phone and YES!!! i got into email on my iphone through the mail icon, not safari.  So i THOUGHT all was good until i went to my laptop.  When i input the username and password i had JUST CREATED AND HAD FUNCTION ON MY PHONE....... now i get the same error on the laptop!!!!  it says:  "That password is incorrect. Be sure you're using the password for your Microsoft account."  HELP!!!!!!!!!!  do i have to make a new password everytime i access on one device and go to another!!!????  HELP!!!! very frustrated..

Can anyone help me with this?  Contact's email addresses sync from phone (galaxy S4 Active) to my Hotmail contacts with the display name included in the email field making the email not work.   It only happens when a new contact is created on the phone or a existing is modified on the phone. 

 

Contacts and emails sync fine from Hotmail to my phone but if I edit that contact on the phone (or create a new contact with and email address on the phone) it will resync the email address with display name in the email field (see example below) rendering the email useless. 

 

For instance a contact with name of New Contact and email of N.Contact@hotmail becomes "New Contact" <N.Contact@hotmail >

Please can anyone help with this?

 

When I create or update an email address for a contact on my phone it syncs to Hotmail contacts incorrectly. 

For instance if I set up a contact with the name New Contact and an email address of *** Email address is removed for privacy *** on my phone. 

It will sync the email address to Hotmail as,"New Contact" <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>  and not *** Email address is removed for privacy ***  as it should.

 

I am using the Outlook Hotmail Connector add-in so this ends up syncing to my Outlook2010 contacts incorrectly as well.

 

If I create the same contact and email address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

) online in Hotmail it syncs to my phone and outlook correct. 

 

If I create the same contact and email in Outlook2010 it syncs to Hotmail and my phone correctly. 

 

The issue only occurs when the contact is new from the phone or the contact is updated from the phone (even if it is some other field of the contact being updated and the email address is not changed).  This results in the email being saved incorrectly on Hotmail and outlook2010.  I don't think outlook is playing a role other than Hotmail is updating it incorrectly after it receives the synch from the phone..

 

This happens to the email address if any part of the contact is updated on the phone and it resyncs with Hotmail..

 

This is causing a big problem as anytime I try to update any contacts on my phone when it syncs with Hotmail the email address get resaved in Hotmail as "Contact name" <email address> rather than just email address., and this does not work when sending email causingmy emails to not go through and the only way to correct is to manually reenter the email address in outlook2010 or Hotmail.

 

Any help would be really appreciated.

When Outlook took over my hotmail account, I lost all of my contacts. Is there anyway to retrieve them?
