S.O.S.! Outlook Express “can’t connect to Hotmail right now..”

I've had Hotmail since forever. Between an old desktop & newer laptop, I keep my YouTube channel going.  YT Comments come to my Hotmail.  Just this past weekend, I suddenly can't open emails on the laptop.  I get message "can't connect to Hotmail right now...." over & over again.  I walk 10' to my old dinosaur PC & have no problems.  Nothing's changed, i.e. new software, etc.,  Please help?  Any ideas?

Is my new Outlook.com that used to be my Hotmail the same as my Outlook 2010 that came with my Microsoft Office suite package?

For that matter, what about my Windows Live Mail 2011? 

I always used Hotmail (now Outlook as of a few months ago) because I could access it with my Windows Live ID from any computer.   I always believed I could not access the Outlook 2010 and the cool calendars, etc  from the Microsoft suite from other computers so I really never activated it. 

Are they all the same?  Is it a matter of preference over which has the coolest tools?

I use SkyDrive extensively to store my files in the cloud but don't understand the connection with Outlook other than I can access it from the Hotmail/Outlook.com email page.

So, is it all the same more or less?

Unable to recover my password for my Hotmail Acount!!!! PLEASE HELP ASAP

After attempting to log into my hotmail account with the CORRECT password…I was informed that my password was not correct and had to follow the steps provided to recover my account.  After following the steps TWICE and sending a separate message to customer support I have still not heard anything back!  Please help me ASAP!!!! My daughter is getting married and I require access to my email to do my duties as mother of the bride….not to mention this is my only form of contact for a lot of my family who do not live in the area.   I called 1-800-microsoft and they informed me that they do not have “phone support” for hotmail/outlook.com applications and that my only option is online here.

 

Any help provided to me would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

Hello,

I logged in to my Hotmail via internet explorer this morning. (09/08/2013)
Emails I left in the inbox were all there initially, but then all the sudden they disappeared.

Could anyone please help me what happened?


fyi,
I assure you that I didn't link my Hotmail account to any 3rd party emails like gmail.
I also checked sent box, deleted box, etc, thinking i might have moved them accidentally, but they are not there either.
I changed my password as soon as I noticed the emails are gone suspecting it's been hacked.

Calendar on Hotmail doesn’t sync to MS Outlook Calendar

I have synced my Hotmail calendar to my MS Outlook calendar and it shows up on MS Outlook.  But when I add an event on my Hotmail calendar it doesn't sync up anymore with Hotmail.  Do I need to continually export the calendar to MS Outlook somehow?  Shouldn't it just automatically update?

Having issues with Authentication on my iphone and itouch. It keeps telling me that my log in information is incorrect and that it can not verify me.

Also having issues logging in on my web browser. Keeps telling me to reset my password or that someone else might be using my account. I have reset my password (then tried it out it tells me that it is incorrect yet again.) I have tried with the security code i received it and put it in and the same thing.

This has been going on all day now. I have not been able to access my main hotmail account. I've had this account for over 6 or 7 years now and have never had this problem until now. (it also seems a lot of people are having this problem)

I've even filled out the "questionaire" and am waiting for a response and still nothing.

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Want to have email notification popup from Messenger.

Hi I wonder whether you have a solution that doesn't require installing Outlook. I'm using a Mac, and I used to get new Hotmail notification popup from Messenger. Since Messenger has been discontinued and I'm using Skype on Mac right now, it doesn't have the feature to popup a toast when its signed-in Hotmail/Outlook.com account receives a new mail.

This is very annoying that I'm losing an important feature from Messenger<->Hotmail before.

EAS contact synch is not working

I have been using EAS for my hotmail with no problem for more than a year.  Now my contacts do not synch up, my e-mail is still synching. So, as some have suggested when I deleted the account all my hotmail contacts disappeared from the phone.  When I readded the account some of them came back but not all.  I also changed my domain to bay-m.mobile.com.  It didn't help either.  I am using galaxy s3 with android version 4.1.2.  Please help.  Thanks,
