My  wife's Hotmail address and password are correct and she can log into  her Microsoft account ,Outlook, Skydrive  etc.

However using her Hotmail address a question relating to a problem posting pictures  was posted and a link received from the moderator to view the answer.

When she logged into the link using her password  a message appeared indicating her Hotmail address "is not allowed to view the incident."  Strange since her address raised the issue!!!

Also when my Hotmail log in was used it firstly rejected the log in and gave an option to log out and log in again where upon  it said you are logged in (with my wife's hotmail address). We were still informed you cannot read the incident.

We would like to read the reply to the "incident" although Microsoft call it a "support request" since we also asked what the difference, and where are we, with Hotmail/Outlook/Windows live Mail. Computer Mail page -Live mail/Outlook after the big switch over to Outlook.   We have 2 mail pages running, one on the web(outlook) and one on the computer (windows live mail). Confusion confusion reigns.

Thanks for help!!

I receive quite a bit of email from Microsoft and this was not one of them.  Perhaps there were problems with Hotmail at the time or with Outlook or Windows Phone.  I remember there were issues with missing email.

I've been using Skydrive for a number of years.  I started using Outlook.com when the transition from Hotmail first started.  I also owe Office Professional Plus 2013.  I had a 365 account for a while but it was a bit overkill for what I needed.

I can assure you that I never received any type of notification or email regarding the above.  I was on the look out for this, since I could no longer sync all my files (space was cut from 25 down to 7 without notice)  I must say this is rather irritating, especially since I had 25 megs of Skydrive storage from the very beginning!

I understand there is an offer to Apple customer for 25 gb or if you have an .edu address you can get an additional 25.  I've been a customer since....Windows 1.0.  Please advise.  Thank you in advance for your response.

Hi there,

I'm the email administrator for several domains, which each one has their own server in our datacenter, but its one the same subnet (187.18.2.64/26). The problem we are facing:

- Send email from user@mydomain to @hotmail: my server says its delivered, but it never reach the hotmail user mailbox
- Send email from @hotmail to @mydomain: the email is received like normal
- Reply a previous email sent before from @hotmail, so, its a reply from @mydomain to @hotmail: well received

So, the problem is basically only send a new email from any of my servers to @hotmail, but the more awkward behavior is that we don't receive any error in the sender email.

Please, let me know if I can help with something to solve that problem.
I was such a happy hotmail customer. Every time I met a new client I would recommend hotmail. I had 4 accounts that I utilize throughout the day and I could seemlessly switch between accounts, review saved emails, and I could keep my bz & life well organized... I was a happy camper for years!!!! Now I can't access saved emails (which I frequently need to do) or switch between accounts. I am forced to log out of one account to view another; the system will not let me keep individual windows open with the multiple accounts. Life is supposed to get better with technology, this has been a hardship. Any suggestions? How can I keep my addresses and go somewhere else? I have contacted MS & Outlook several times, but no one has contacted me. HELP

Ever since Hotmail switched to Outlook I have been having technical issues with it.
Recently, I sent a couple of emails to a friend of mine, and for some bizarre reason they were delivered to a different, and completely unknown to me email address.
Strangely enough, the person who received my emails, happens to know my friend, and forwarded the emails to her, but the point is that this should not be happening. When I send an email to someone, I expect them to receive that email; I certainly don't want it to go to a complete stranger.

Also, I noticed that messages from two completely unrelated people are often linked together in one chain. Again, this shouldn't be happening.

Why is this happening, and how can I go on trusting Hotmail/Outlook with my account when such grave mistakes occur?

I've been emailing my daughter in china using hotmail.co.uk address  but haven't heard from her since 27 August. I've told UK Foreign Office about concerns and they are going to email her. What i want to know is there anyway of finding out if she is still picking up her mail on this account? Can Hotmail divulge that information?
It was Microsoft customer services who told me to post here.
