I thought I was updating my xbox live account, but accidentally updated my hotmail account - how do I get back to my old hotmail account?

I updated from [name]@Hotmail.com to [name]*** Email address is removed for privacy *** and now [name]@Hotmail.com does not seem to be available to change back to!

My hotmail contact info has been drastically reduced. Can I retrieve the details I had entered for contacts like snail mail addresses, birthdays, etc. or should I just go back to a paper notebook like my grandmother kept?

How do I delete my old mail provider from Windows mail and replace it with AOL? I added Hotmail to the account but how do I delete any account?

My Mom is 87 and uses the computer daily. She doesn't like (nor do I) the new Outlook style. How can I change us both back to the old style on Hotmail?
