To make it clear I cannot mark mail in any way, I cannot set any rules, I cannot create new folders, I cannot create signatures. ,However these options seem to be visible and obvious from machines running windows 7 and XP. Does anyone know where these
are hidden on win 8?
Unable to create folders ,signature ,rules or any other user options in(windows 8) Hotmail or Outlook/live. To create new folders and rules I am having to access via a browser on my old windows 7 and XP machines. Neither can I directly access the Hotmail calender from within the Mail App. The only options that are shown are when I right click an e-mail and they are; "pin to start-move -mark as unread or, synch" on the bottom bar. The top screen shows only "move,reply or delete". I can't find contacts but I know they are here. Win key + i takes me to PC settings and personalisation and other ultimately non relevant areas.
I dont' like how my Windows Live Mail opens automatically without me signing in and i prefeer to go back to using my Hotmail and servers email accounts separately rather than merging.
How can I Uninstall just the Windows Live Mail part from Windows Essentials - XP home.
Instrustions and links only show how to delete it on Windows8 & or Windows7*/Vista .
I do not want to lose my Howmail Or Messenger.

When I signed in to Hotmail, a notice came up recommending that I always sign in using HTTPS. I checked the box authorizing this but am now finding I have unanticipated trouble and want to go back to the status quo ante before I authorized this. How do I negate that authorization?

I have noticed that emails recieved in hotmail may have a number next to the senders address - and it appears that all the messages sent between yours and the senders email are now displayed below the new message. Is it possible to return to the situation
where the only messages that are included in an email are the ones directly related to the particular current exchange of email without listing every email ever sent between a sender and reciever?

Will you please (pulling my hair out as I type!) help me retrieve an old account of 2012. The account has all of my old emails within it and I am so frustrated I am losing control. When I click new and type in specific letters which are the start to specific e-mail addresses, recent e-mail addresses that I have sent e-mails to come up, I want to delete those recently e-mailed contacts, my Hotmail account is strictly for professional stuff
and has been manipulated before various times to send e-mails to all recent e-mail addresses and contacts through being hacked, it's not very secure though this is not what concerns me, i want to delete all my recently e-mailed contacts so this does not happen
again, i have been on Google and researched this but can not find anything, everything is out dated, there was one thing which said I have to type in the first few letters press down to highlight the e-mail address and delete it via pressing the delete button

On an apple computer at friend's house--trying to get hotmail; get vertical laundry list--what's the deal--last year worked fine.
friends e-mail account hacked and stolen / looks like outlook now / should be hotmail, would like to take it back, is that possible? She can not get to hotmail it takes her right to the stolen accout. Would prefer to recover the account rather than start over.
