I created an Outlook.com alias and I received a confirmation that said the alias was created and that I could start sending e-mails from that address by selecting that address from the little down arrow next to my hotmail account name in a new msg. But
the little Down arrow does not appear. I refreshed the page and it is still not there.I have restarted Hotmail four times. Have restarted my computer. - but to no avail.

I cannot access Sky Drive from this account, am I doing something wrong?
My friend has a hotmail account and sky drive is accessible from the inbox area, there is a down arrow at side of the word Outlook
and you can open the list and select sky drive from there, the down arrow is not there on my account.

I need some guidance in retrieving the contents off my folders.
It started with being unable to send e mails. So I discarded the hotmail account and started again.

Can you help me? This afternoon I noticed I wasn't getting certain emails from sellers on ebay. So I have sent 2 test emails from my gmail account to my hotmail account and they haven't come through. I also tried sending an email from my Hotmail address to my Hotmail address and I didn't receive that either. I have only had 1 email come through in 7 hours which is unusual. That was a notification email from ebay. I should have received several emails regarding purchases from other websites also.
I use internet explorer mainly to view my emails but also have access through Outlook 2010 and my HTC Android smartphone. They all show the same thing.
I haven't knowingly changed anything and I can't see a problem with any of my settings.
I sent an email to my gmail account and I received it ok but the reply I sent back never arrived.
I sign on with password to the Hotmail account as is necessary with Windows 8. It then asks for extra security by means of a code which Microsoft say they will send to my email address. But there never is any response so there is no code.
This is frustrating because without this I cannot trust PC and synch.
How do I go about getting a code.
