Cannot Recover Hijacked Hotmail Account

Hi,

Attempting to modify my Xbox Live Membership prompted me to sign in to the Hotmail account I have tied to Xbox Live. I've found my Hotmail password no longer works, and when attempting to reset the password via the methods available, I also found that that the answer to my Security Question has also been changed, and any existing alternative emails have been deleted, leaving me unable to sign in or reset the password to that account.

The Hotmail account was created nearly a decade ago and it has been years since I've sent or received any emails from it (I use the account for Xbox Live and nothing more). Because of this, the information I could provide to the Security Questionnaire was limited to my Xbox Live payment details and the password I used to use before it was changed by the hijacker. This information was held to be not sufficient enough to recover my account.

I would very much like my account back, however after my application via the Questionnaire was rejected, I'm not sure how to proceed.

Any advice on how the account could still be recovered? I'm still signed in to my Hotmail via Xbox Live, if that helps at all.

Hello All,

I am asking for assistance again and your undying patience in helping me recover my hacked email/windows live account. The experts here have been very supportive but to no avail and I will like to post this once more.

My hotmail account was hacked several months ago and the alternate email address was changed too. I have tried the online recovery numerous times with all the required information relevant to the account being provided by myself.

I can prove with the IP addresses and all my close contacts that it is indeed my email account.

I know I am not the first person this has happened too. There are many long standing hotmail users like myself. I have had this account for 15 years and am determined with patience to recover it..

I am trying to close my hotmail account and I can not when I get to that step to close it tells me to deactivate and check my billing services and when I do it then says I have no billing services. I would like to close ASAP please!

Hey there guys. Earlier on I was trying to access an old account to reset my password for another service. I have one email address that I only use for my PlayStation account and basically I had forgotten my password on my PlayStation account so I sent a password reset request to my email address. The PlayStation network recognised my email as it was correct. But then when I hopped over to the Hotmail site to log in and proceed with the password reset, Hotmail gave me an error every time I attempted to log into the account.

I was using all the correct credentials and I even tried to reset the password on my Hotmail account but this also gave me an error message stating that the account was non existing. This account was never really used as I said I only used it to create my PSN account and it has been left untouched for almost 2 Years now.

So anyone got any idea on what is going on here? Or has anyone else experienced the same problems with disused accounts disparaging?

By the way this Hotmail account ended in " @live.co.uk " I don't know if that helps at all but that's all the information I can provide.

Since yesterday 2 of my email accounts connected to my hotmail account have disappeared. Opening these two with their own password not possible. Who knows the solution?

When will this be restored by Hotmail or Outlook or life.com?

The 2 other email accounts also cannot be opened anymore by the owners of the email addresses.

I had a link sent to my yahoo account to reset my hotmail account but the link won’t open. Now what?

I click on the link, it opens for a split second and then goes blank. I really need to get back into that hotmail account!!

Before I get to the point…I've already tried to “Reset your Windows Live ID Password”, so don't bother telling me to do that. I tried to go through the "Account Validation Process" as well, but this Polish jerk changed all my account information, so I cannot recover my account by any of your basic means. I've tried going through submitting an escalation ticket, only to get back a reply to try and “Reset your Windows Live ID Password”. Here’s the proof if you don’t believe me: SRX1211743954ID.

Fact of the matter is, some polish guy hacked my account. *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is the account I used for gaming and contact with friends. There is personal information at risk and possible ID theft going on here. I don't want some guy in Europe stealing my information and gaming access. And who knows what else he's using my account for! I want the account locked down immediately, and access to my account restored to me ASAP. I was directed by customer service to post here to contact the Windows Live Team Directly, so I better see improved results in assistance. Am I angry? I am RAGING Angry! I would have thought that the fact that my address, name and contact e-mail suddenly changing from my Virginia residence to some place out in Poland would have been a SEVERE RED FLAG to your company and community. Whoever ve*****@onet.pl is, I want him OUT of my account, and I want all my original account information restored. You people should have some record of my information that I put on that account. I want it back!

My hotmail account was hacked, I am not sure exactly of when.

I tried to go through the account recovery several times and spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to recover it with no luck. Now, it is quite some time later and I really need some of the email documents that were saved in that account.

I am told that after a certain number of days the accounts are deleted. I have two questions:
1.) How can I figure out when the last time was that I logged in so that I can be sure?
2.) Is there any hope of getting my email account back and a possibility that the account is hosted somewhere on the system?

Any help would be a real life saver here.

Hello,
I intall "two-step verification" and I do not work anymore in the hotmail account outgoing mail. In login to windows (which corresponds to an account WLM) I inserted the password received, while in the second the password is not changed otherwise it does not work for incoming mail.

NB. I have two other accounts, one of Virgilio and the other to Alice and they both work with both incoming and outgoing mail, without changing the password.!
