I've been trying for months to close my Hotmail account and keep getting placed into a loop I can't get out of, and ultimately can't do it. It tells me that I need to "deactivate my account," which when I click through to do, it tells me that first I
need to cancel my billing services. BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY BILLING SERVICES TO CANCEL. Please help me wrap this up and close this account. Thanks.

This URL goes back to Microsoft Account - Recent Transactions. All subscriptions are cancelled. It won't let me Remove Payment Option (Discover Card). So there is no way to get the card removed to / or Close the account...; THIS ACCOUNT HAS APPARENTLY

Hi, I am trying to deactivate a free microsoft live account, I do not have anything attached to it, it is not the account im logged in to post this problem. I get an error page that says the server is experiencing difficulties and they cant show me the
page. I would like help deactivating my live account. I have tried it on 3 browsers, explorer, firefox and google chrome, and get the same error message, I deleted my cache and browsing history, I still get the same server error page.
When I deactivate my account is says I can't open it for 365 days then it will be deactivated

It keeps leading me in circles: I am trying to delete my account, click the close account, it tells me I need to deactivate my account. When I click on the link to do so, it tells me that I have to cancel my billing services and I don't have any billing
services associated with this account.
It looks like other people have had this problem too--why hasn't it been fixed? please help me close this ancient account!
