I have a custom domain account that was configure in 2003, I've never had a problem with this account until 10/30.

The account is configured on my Windows Phone 7 and I access it on the web through outlook.com.

The inbox is now bouncing all emails and no longer functional.

Was there an update to the system on 10/30? Has my account been locked?

I need help diagnosing this issue and was told by live support to post here.

Cannot RECEIVE email at my custom domain hotmail account (can SEND email though)

My custom domain account (Murray-Campbell.net) has been working fine with Hotmail/Outlook for the past five years, but since two days ago (and without me doing any configuration changes), I cannot receive any email.  I've unsuccessfully checked all obvious causes (blocked users, email forwarding, junk email, etc, etc., so I suspect it has to do with the actual service or MX record configuration. Can somebody help me? Thanks!

custom domain account does not authenticate with IMAP

I have a custom domain hosted on outlook.com

I access the account with no problems using activesync on iOS and a browser at outlook.com, however I tried to set up IMAP access using Mail.app on Mac OS X today and it fails to authenticate. I used the same settings with an @live.co.uk email account and that works fine, which leads me to believe the problem is to do with the fact that I am using a custom domain.

I've seen some other similar threads which indicate that there have been problems with custom domains and IMAP and wonder if Microsoft are aware of this issue?

Thanks.

Error 9003: Passport error – Truly Delete an account

I recently registered a new custom domain account and in my Windows Live Admin Center I created a few users accounts. I want to use the SDK tools available in order to create a custom domain alias for users. For example say  First@domain to be an alias for First.Last@domain as Info@domain to go to First.Last@domain However, as I had already created and subsequently deleted the First.Last@domain account, I receive an "Error 9003: Passport error."

NOTE:  I understand that creating a custom domain alias is not possible on the Admin Center.  I am basically requesting assistance with permanently deleting such "ghost" records that apparently persist on Microsoft's side even though they were deleted in the Admin Center -- presumably this is to allow them to be restored if "accidentally" deleted or other such activity.

Can I start with a normal Outlook.com account and then make it a custom domain account?

I am currently using Office 365 Small Business plan P1 with a custom domain that is managed by Microsoft/Office365 and registered with GoDaddy.

I am planning to move away from Office 365, but I want to move my mailbox before I re-point DNS entries to start receiving email at the new location. So I was planning to set up a new Outlook.com account to which I could potentially copy my emails over. Once the copy operation is complete (could take a while because I have a fairly large mailbox of 5GB), I was hoping to add a new email address with my custom domain.

Is it possible to do so, and more importantly, to make the custom domain address the default and the Outlook.com account to be a secondary? In fact, if I can make the custom domain account the only account and drop the Outlook.com account completely, that would be fine as well.

Thanks in advance!

cannot add custom domain account

I have a Live Custom Domain setup and a user created in the domain. I want to use my normal Outlook.com account to send/receive mail from that Live Custom Domain account. If I try to add it as a send/receive account in Outlook.com, Outlook.com refuses to add the account and suggests that I instead link the other Microsoft account. Of course, linking Microsoft accounts was cancelled long ago. So how do I use my normal Outlook.com account to send/receive mail from my Custom Domain account?

Request to increase custom domain account limit from 500 to 1000

Hi,

I have a custom domain setup in Live Custom Domains for the single purpose of Signing into Windows 8 tablets.
I have around 1000 (starting qty) Surface RT tablets that will be managed and I need to create Live IDs for each.

FYI: the Custom Domains has a limit of 50 accounts. The page notes: "You can have more accounts for free. Contact support to make this request.”.

https://domains.live.com/manage/default.aspx

I have no need for email or any other features. Hence I am not interested in Office365.
In fact Office365 does not give me the LiveID i need to sign into Windows 8.
(So if you suggest Office365 as per your script I'll assume you're not reading this.)

I DO need a way to create 1000 LiveIDs easily.

Please PM or email me and I'll give you details of the domain.
PS. I've sent this through my PAM, a technical contact for our Surface project and also rung support. None of whom know what I'm talking about.

Thanks
Andrew
