I am having problems signing into Windows Live Messenger. This has been happening for the past few days.
The error code is 80072f0d.
I have followed the troubleshooting tips that you suggest and I the problem is still there.
I have gathered the log files that you requested and I am ready to send these to you.
Please reply stating how I can get these log files to you.

On trying to sign into messenger I get message: Can not sign you into Windows Live Messenger . Your contact list is not available right now. Try again later. For the last 24 hours I have been unable to access my contact list. I am using Hotmail for my
emails.
i can use web messenger like ebuddy without any issues and get all live contacts. but can't connect on windows live messenger. running windows xp pro
uninstalled and installed everything clean uninstall and install 3 times. same.
..I get message "We can't sign you in to Windows Live Messenger ..your contact list is not available right now, please try again later"...when trying to sign into Windows Live Messenger... Window XP.....It worked yesterday!!!...HELP!!
"Your contact list is not available right now, please try again later". What in the world does it mean, and why I can't sign in my messenger account since yesterday night? I'm very unsatisfied with the service.
When I want to forward or send a new message, I can't bring up my complete contact list and scroll the list, highlighting the contacts I want the message to go to. I have to pick a single letter of the alphabet and open only the contacts associated with
that letter of the alphabet. Also, how do I alphabtize the contact list and edit out contacts.
How do I set it that when I receive emails from new contacts they automatically are added to my contact list?

I changed the email address of one of my contacts. Later when I began typing to send them a new email, BOTH addresses popped up.
So, I deleted that person from my contact list. Then added them with the new address.
Now, the correct address shows in my list. HOWEVER, when I begin typing to send them a new email, ALL the deleted addresses pop up.
How do I delete the incorrect information?
I changed the email address of one of my contacts. Later when I began typing to send them a new email, BOTH addresses popped up.
