I know you can delete a contact when first creating a contact group and prior to save. How do you edit one later and remove a person for example after they have left your company?
Is there a limit on the number of addresses that can be in a Contact Group?  I am getting a message that says there are too many in a Contact Group I created when I clicked Send on an email I was sending to this croup.
I have multiple contact groups set up in Outlook 2011.  Occasionally, a message I send to one of these contact groups will get hung up in my Outbox.  The only thing I've been able to figure out is that one of the email addresses in the particular contact group is not longer being used.  But I'd really like to have Outlook deliver the message to all of the good addresses in the contact group and give me an error message regarding the bad address.  But that doesn't happen...the message just stays in the Outbox and it isn't delivered to anyone.  Then I have to send the email one by one to each address in the contact group until I discover which address is bad.  There's got to be a more efficient way to do this.  Help!!!
How do you get Contact Group (Distribution List) names to appear in the list of Contacts?  When I select "Contacts" (in the lower left corner), my Contacts are listed/displayed alphabetically by last names, the Contact Groups appear in their proper place but have blank names.  From what I can see there is no way to enter a "last name" and there is no column option to display "Contact Group"??
Ive been dending emails to a contact group , which has over 200 addresses, it was fine for months, now all of a sudden it wont allow that many addresses in the group, what do I need to do to have an unlimited amount of emails to send out. PLEASE help , Thank you Nick
When I send a message to a "Contact Group" it only goes to the first person listed in the group emails. This is pathetic AND dangerous as I thought a message went out as it used to until I checked one day and NOOOOO. FIX IT QUICK PLEASE.
Have MacBook Pro and work off an exchange server (Rackspace).

Just recently I can no longer search Contacts for known contacts; nor can I build Contact Group lists.  I was able to do both until last week.  And of course this makes it very difficult to construct a mass email for an announcement (eg 750 names)--essentially I have to write in each name vs simply pointing and clicking.

Note Rackspace confirms that problem is local--eg they could search my contact list from their end.

I should also point out that I've Microsoft Office folks have 2x know over the past month worked on my Outlook manually for problems with stalled Outlook.  The problems I outline above resulted only following working with Microsoft last week to correct frozen Outlook.  I called today and they now refer me to this portal, because I "work off an exchange server".  All rather frustrating.

Pls advise . . .

Thanks.

Im a hotmail user and im trying to add new contacts to a group contact list but not able to. There doesnt seem to be a selection to be able to do this. Do I need to go into somewhere else? Please help!!

I recently moved from my old Windows XP computer using Outlook Express to  new computer with Windows 7 . I downloaded and installed Windows Live Mail 2012 version. I (apparently) successfuly migrated my OE email address book to WLM. I routinely sent group email messages to as many as 30 recipients in OE. When I tried the same group that I had successfully used a few weeks previously in OE with WLM it truncated the list of 32 and sent the message to 14. I did check through the list of 32 to make sure that the transfer had resulted in valid email addresses for all.

In looking around  at various forums there was some speculation that WLM would allow no more than a group of 12. I therefore set up three new group contacts consisting of 11, 11 and 10 email addresses. When I attempted to send to all three of these new groups simultaneously a message was sent to only 13 with a distribution of 4 from group one, five from group 2 and 4 from group three. Perplexed, I tried sending to only one goup of 11. The message was sent to only 7 of the 11.  I tried another group and it sent to 8 of the 11. Finally, it would only send to 1 of the group of 10.  If I repeat the experiment for any of the three groups WLM seems to choose any old random number ranging from 1 to 8 that it will send from the group of 10 or 11. Given how long I have spent fussing around with this I could have just typed in the individual names (which I have not tried to see if there is a limit there too). But, that would defeat he idea of a group contact wouldn't it? Normal messages sent to 1 or 2 recipients seems to be working ok.

Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on here? Is there a limit to a contact group size with teh 2012 WLM? This really seems like a step backward from XP and OE which never gave he smallest problem with this type of thing.

Thanks for any suggestion you might offer.

In my contact list, I have a contact group entitled Newsletter Recipients. I want to edit it. I need to delete one address and add another, but every time I go to Contacts, I get this bold red bar and the names along the left side. But when I type in Newsletter Recipients, it doesn't recognize it and it isn't in that list. How do I get to it. This new site, which isn't an option, is for MSN IM, I think, and I don't want to add anyone to my IM list, since I don't use it anyway. I even dumped Windows LIve IM in hopes I would get my old style of list back where making edits was easy. Please tell me how I can access my group - Newsletter Recipients.  Thank you.
