Lost all my data on my entire computer after complete restoration.

I lost all my data on my entire computer because the repair man had to do a complete restoration. Thank goodness I have Carbonite, and that back up is re-populating my computer. 

However, unlike the person above, my issue is with Windows Live. I signed in and nothing is there. I did sign in as recently as a a few weeks ago, right before winter break ( I teach online and these newsgroups were actual classes I was teaching). 

I thought Windows live was all web based, and so I would expect my newsgroups to be there. 

1. How do I access the newsgroups on the internet, shouldn't they be there?
2. What is the relationship between my pc and the windows live application account?

I recently used Carbonite to restore my files.  I have a desktop with wireless modem/router combo which my wife's computer is connected to.  Somehow my contacts now appear on her computer and her contact list is on mine.  Not sure if hacked or not, but how can I transfer her contacts to her computer and retrieve mine from hers.

Been running for several years (2011 version, came with computer). Doing end of year clean-up, deleting a bunch of no longer needed.

Unfortunately, did some manually from "Document and Settings"  & "User" Folder Drive C.  Tried to clean out inside WLMail folder inside program.  Some deleted, but many get "Error Occurred..." message.  For the life of me, cannot get rid of them within the program, even though I BELIEVE they no longer reside on the computer.

Being a neat freak, finally decided to uninstall and reinstall up to 2012 version - hoping this might clear out these "stray" entries.  Went through the whole rig-a-marol and it is up and running fine.  BUT the same old pesky messages linger.

Please help, advice me how I might rid myself of these.  As a side not, they all reside in the "Sent to" folder and involve some 200 of 600 messages I began with.

Hope my info is complete enough.  Thank you in advance.

Please Help!!!


I have read the different discussions about this error but hasn't help. Libraries are no where on my computer. They  are not on the left side.

They are  not listed on users/roaming/libraries steps that I have read. So far the only thing is showing the error is when I open live gallery.  I uninstalled and still didn't work. I'm assuming that is an issue with 8.1 because my computer is new and was working fine till the update to 8.1. I tried recover and no luck either. My computer is a Samsung in case it helps. Any advice???

i click save movie file then click save to my computer then it says wmm cannot save this movie to the specified location verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available that the saving location is still available and that there is enough free disk space available and then try again  it being happen for about 6 months and with everything i try and i cant see my video in the preview box only sound and i tryed putting the file in video picture my documents i free up space on my computer i got windows 7 home premium i tryed system restore i try disk clean up just to see if that help i try alot of things i need to burn my video to a disk now i cant do that even because i cant save it to my computer  PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sign into live mail from batch file

Is there a way to sign into live mail from a batch file?  I setup my parents computer so it goes into the site when they start up their computer.  I checked the stay signed in box so it goes directly in for right now. I am afraid that eventually they will get signed out so then it will go into their sign in screen and they have trouble getting the userid and password typed in.  I was hoping I could pass the userid and password to the site as parameters.  Is that possible?

One computer, One windows Live Mail, Two users?

There are two users at home but one computer, with Windows Live Mail installed.
Even when I sign off and close the program, my daughter sins in with her address and password but sees my inbox and all my folders instead of hers.
What should we do?

Not enough space on my computer for the movie to be saved

Movie Maker keeps on telling me that I dont have enough space on my computer for the movie to be saved, but I know I do. Its also not letting me burn the project onto a DVD.

Every time I try to save my finished project as a movie, it doesn't let me as I 'don't have enough space on the computer', but I know I do. how can I fix this?
