Windows Phone thinks i have a child account

My windows phone (and 'Zune' programme) says that I have a child account and need parental account to sign in and accept the term of use, but i don't have a child account and on my hotmail account it isn't a child account. My date of birth is correct and shows that I am over 18. How can i fix it so that i can accept the terms of use on my phone (or in the 'Zune marketplace') .. as i cannot download anything until this is resolved.

Can’t add contacts to the “people hub” while logged in as a Child Account

17. August 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: child account, Microsoft account
I have my son setup as a child account under my Microsoft account. He uses it to log into to our Xbox, and our Surface. He just got a new Windows Phone 8, and I used his MS child account to setup his phone. Everything mostly works as expect so far - a few more hoops to jump through compared to setting up and using my Windows phone using my parent MS account. The problem is this. On the PC, when he logs into Outlook.com and then goes to the People Hub, he is unable to add, or edit any contacts. In fact, the only way he is able to add a contact is by typing them into the phone...once done, those contacts will appear on the PC within Outlook.com's People Hub. This is just **** backwards. Obviously, adding loads of contacts on the phone is less desirable than on a PC. How do I get around this so we can add contacts using a real PC instead of the phone.

Im an adult and when creating my account I entered the wrong birth year how do i change this so I can use the account I am obviously not 7 months old.  I tried creating an adult account to pay the .50 fee with y credit card but i continue to get an error.  I need to change the account age or to have it deleted so that I can recreate the account with the username i want.  I am in an area that fax and mail arent options so how can i go about fixing this.  Can the account be linked to my parent account or can it be deleted since I cant get into it anyway. please send me a private message with a solution and so that I can give you the username of that account.

My children are trying to use a service which it tells them they need permission. So I click "Get Permission"

I get this screen:

Click "Continue" and get this screen:

I tick "Yes" and then Click "Continue"

I then get the sign in screen where I enter my account info:

Click sign in and I then get:

How do I fix this issue so my child can continue to use their accounts?

LIve ID Broken

I recently tried to authorize a child account and found that my Live ID/Microsoft Account appears to be broken.  I cannot access any billing information, payment options, transactions, etc.  All I can apparently do is login.  They all throw the same error:

I am pretty sure this is why my CC will not process for the child account.

As you need a Live ID to access most any MS Online service the lack of any real support options is extremely frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Received error: “We’re unable to complete your request” when setting up child account

Original Title: child account

I am trying to setup a child account under my account.  But I keep getting this message when I provide credit card information to verify I am an adult: We're unable to complete your request

Microsoft account is experiencing technical problems. Please try again later.

I have heard lots of people get this and other blogs seem to indicate I need to have something done to my account by Microsoft so I can actually perform this step.  Is there someone from Microsoft who is able to assist?
