All files disapeared from a document folder and its 2 sub-folders while I was trying to attache a document to a new message in Outlook webmail. The folder was on my desktop. I opened edit to try "undo" but it was inactive. I tried chkdsk on the c: drive and some errors where found but no trace of my files. The folder in question and all its 2 sub-folders were wiped out even if they were read only. I tried running chkdsk /r at start-up but it did not help. What could have happened?
