Ron - I am having a similar problem with email being deleted from my phone .  My cable company talked me through the same directions you shared to check the box to 'delete from server when deleted from deleted items' - and then every time I close Windows Live Mail and reopen the program that same box no longer has a check mark in it.  So every time I open my email on my laptop every email is deleted from my new cell phone.  any other suggestions on how to make it stick??  Thanks for any help you can provide.
