Yesterday I accidentally deleted the folder Microsoft User Data which includes the database file with all the user info to run out look I then proceeded to empty the trash can. I spent some time looking of means to recover the files BUT this morning the bin was restored and I have moved the complete folder out to a separate drive.

The problem is now how to get  the data back into Outlook to import I need a .olm file  and when I used the utility it said the data need to be rebuilt and then failed and that crashed Outlook. I have managed to get out look to run but with no accounts or other data.

So,is there a way to get deleted information back into outlook.

Hi,

I am using the latest version of Office for Mac 2011.

Every time I log onto my network at work, I have to re enter the Microsoft Server Address in Outlook.

I re enter the address and restart Outlook and I am then connected.

Any idea why?

Thanks

Tim
Just installed Outlook 2011 (14.3.8) today. I added a Gmail account and an exchange account. The exchange account synced up fine but my Gmail account is not showing any messages at all. I have a green connection indicator on the gmail account and the bottom right status bar says "connected to gmail" but I have no messages in any of my boxes (sent, inbox, trash, etc). Interestingly enough I am able to send email via gmail using outlook. I have already checked my IMAP settings on the gmail website and tried creating a new Office profile/user identity. These are the same settings and I am using for Gmail on Apple's mail app and I am having no problems over there so I am assuming this is an outlook problem?
Conatact: Office you can add someones Birthday, and add an alert. But what is the alert tied to and how does one edit / adjust it — where, or where the alert comes??.

Notes section: How do you change font? I have a workaround — I can copy past into word, change font and paste back into notes, but this is clumsy. thanks!
I tried creating a csv from gmail. Imported it.  My desktop version of outlook says I have all contacts BUT half of them are blank - no name, no information... nothing.

My online version of outlook (which is the one I'm hoping to use) doesn't show any of these contacts.

Thoughts?

I exported my gmail calendar to an ics file.  I imported to outlook and the only that shows up are the google events I had marked as recurring.  Non of the other events came through.

Thoughts?

Outlook hangs (i.e. beachball) whenever I click "advanced" in the accounts pref pane.

I've asked before, but no one will answer. If I could send a box of chocolates I would.

The backup database file is in the expected place username/Office 2011 identities/ main identity but the database (about 22Mb) has no suffix to the name so I cannot import it or use the repair tool. Have I missed a point some where?
