Like many others, I am wondering whatever happened to all my old Hotmail emails when everything switched to Outlook.com.  Please don't tell me to try to restore missing emails, that was pointless.  I have yet to see a complete, helpful answer.  If it's that Microsoft just deleted everything irrevocably for those who were not active in Hotmail at the time, just tell me so I can get over it and not try to get everything restored.  Thank you.
Hey just thought it would be really cool to share my account information for those out there who have always wished they could have an Outlook.com account some day. This is the day! :>

Without further adue:

Account login: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Paswor:
[Removal of PII]
Remember to change the password before some one else does it, so you can enjoy your account a lot longer!

Regarts,
Bob Alias

How do I configure and send an email so that the receiver only sees my email address and not my account name;

ie, they see = (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) and not = myname (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***)

Thank you in advance

Last week I picked up a new machine running Win 8.1.

When I turned it on, NO password was required - it booted right to my desktop.

Sometime over the weekend, something "strange" occurred - when I start the machine, I'm presented with a screen as follows:

          Terry

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

          Password

I entered several passwords which I know to be valid from other applications, BUT the ONLY password it accepts is my Hotmail Password.

I have no problems with a password for security reasons, but this combination creates some "privacy" issues.

When I get to my desktop and open Internet Explorer and "click" on the Outlook.com tile, Hotmail opens directly into my Inbox.  This is totally unacceptable for a family PC - unless I turn off the machine , anyone can read my Hotmails.

So, to my questions:

How do I stop this - I've followed all the instructions in the Win 8 help file - swipe up from the bottom right corner, select the "Search" icon, type in sign, and click on Sign In Options.  I've checked the "No Password option, and the screen clearly says "No password required for this computer", yet, when I reboot, the process repeats.

Is this a Windows software issue?, a hardware issue? or an Outlook.com Issue?  I hate the idea of re-installing my OS.

Any and all help appreciated.

Thanks,

Terry

Hello,

On my windows 8 desktop mail app emails that are newsletters or social updates automatically go into their respective folders. However, on outlook.com they still show up in all mail. On gmail they automatically go into their categories as well. Is there anyway on outlook.com for them not to show up in the main inbox? Also, on gmail I only get notification for my primary e-mail not social/promotions, is there a similar setting on outlook?

Thanks!

I can not install this program in my pc which is running on a 32 bit windows 7 home premium upgraded from Vista home premium. Used to have it in the Vista. Now it only appears as a set-up file, not a program. How can I fix this. Should I go back to Vista?
Thank you.

I have entered my email address in outlook.com on my computer and am unable to access my emails.

The error message I get is :

Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now
If you continue to have this problem, please report it to Microsoft.

I see from the discussions that several are facing the same problem.
What is going on and when will I be able to access my emails which are work related!!!!!

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this frustrating issue???
Hi,
My clients, a restaurant, have forgotten their passwords and they do not know their Security Questions. Can you please enable password reset for the domain: jholpai.net ?

Regards,
A Uddin

EDIT: Can someone also enable the user groups/ Moderation for this domain too please?
I'm now relying on Skydrive to get access to all of my files on my 3 computers (Windows 7 Desktop at the office, Windows 7 on my laptop, and Windows 8.1 on my Surface Pro).

The problem though is that sometimes when I make changes to files or create new files on one computer, these seem either not to sync at all on another computer or take a long time to do so. It seemed to work well at first but lately there have been problems, including having red X's on some of my files. And today for some reason, even though it says skydrive is 'up to date', the folder that includes the file changes seems to forever in a state of synchronization (blue arrows).

Pleas provide advice on how I can solve this problem and how to ensure effective synchronization in the future.
Mon compte outlook a été piraté, j'ai réussi à changer mon adresse et mon mot de passe mais ma boîte est maintenant en hébreux. !???!??!?! Qu'est-ce que je fais????
