Two months ago, I deleted and shut down my Hotmail account. Is it possible to retrieve the messages that were in it? I have restored the account, but all of my folders are empty. Can I get them all back?

just setup a custom domain email address using outlook.com
The email looks as *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
The status in the Windows Live Admin center says "Active" for my custom domain.
All the DNS settings (TXT and MX) in hostgator are correct which I verified with hostgator based on the Windows Live Admin center custom domain setup instructions.
I can login the outlook.com web interface with *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
I can receive AND send emails from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** using the outlook.com web interface.
Using the Outlook 2010 client, I can receive emails to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
BUT I cannot send emails since the other server rejects with the following error message:
"Sending reported error (0x800CCC0F): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your service administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP). The server responded 550 5.7.3 Requested action aborted; user not authenticated'
I tried the SMTP setting with
a) 587, TLS,
b) 25, SSL
Both did not work.
Would be great if someone could help here.
Sometimes I have a notice at the top of an email that reads, "Be careful!!! This sender failed our fraud detection checks." I have not been able to find a way to remove it. With it on there I am not able to reply to the email by clicking on the space
provided to reply. Is there a way to remove it so I can respond to the email?

Since updating to Win8.1 on my tablet (Lenovo ThinkPad tablet 2) over 2 weeks ago I've been totally unable to get sky drive sync'd. Sky drive has always worked flawlessly with the old desktop app, but this new situation is wholly unsatisfactory and is making me very annoyed. It seems to be a problem affecting many people, is there any way to resolve it? Google can't seem to offer anything useful.
Here are the symptoms
- Firstly, not all my files will actually appear in view in the Modern App, let alone download. I have tried to check the all-offline option but it is greyed out. I have tried this in explorer, as well as on the Modern App.
- The Modern App has a kind of status page, this continuously has little black dots travelling across the top of the screen as though processing something but nothing ever changes.
- Also in the app, the notification is stuck on "downloading 222 options" for DAYS. All the files in view say "completed" and won't refresh.
PLEASE how can I reset the skydrive app? I've tried switching to a local account, emptying the skydrive folder and then going back to my MS account but it just seems to remember everything!
It's starting to get me very angry. Up until now I've loved my tablet, but this is really starting to drag me down.
On my main PC I've had none of these problems, I can just assume I got lucky with it.
Any ideas? I'm on the verge on uninstalling 8.1 so I can have the old skydrive app back. I'm a bit helpless without my documents! In case it's important, I moved my skydrive folder to a micro SD card D drive.

I would like to be able to move all of my employee email addresses from doteasy to outlook.com. However, I have read that in the process, I will loose all emails that have been saved in the doteasy accounts. Some of these email addresses have several saved emails that are important. Is there a way for me to transfer all of the saved emails from the doteasy server to the outlook server, so I can guarantee I still have access to these saved emails?

I have stopped my messages going into Outlook 2007 (as otherwise they don't also go into Outlook.com) but I don't have my contacts and history available in there yet.
