It looks like other people have had this problem too--why hasn't it been fixed? please help me close this ancient account!
It keeps leading me in circles: I am trying to delete my account, click the close account, it tells me I need to deactivate my account. When I click on the link to do so, it tells me that I have to cancel my billing services and I don't have any billing
services associated with this account.
We have a windows xp home computer but i want to transfer my music files to my new iphone 4, could anyone help me please?

Ever since the "upgrade" to Outlook, my Hotmail account randomly rejects all incoming e-mail every few days or so with no rhyme or reason. I mean BOTH *inbox* e-mail AND *Junk* e-mail. I am not getting anything. Today, my rejected all incoming e-mail. Yesterday, it worked fine. Tomorrow, it might work again. But on random days, the my account will simply not accept incoming e-mail. I can sign into my account just fine. I can even send e-mails. But I can't receive any. It doesn't matter if I'm accessing the account on my mobile device (an iPhone) or on the desktop. I've never changed any settings. E-mail is simply not coming into the account. On certain days, it won't reject any e-mail and on certain other days, my account will reject all e-mail. I've not noticed any pattern to this.
This has been an ongoing issue for the past several months. I've had the same Hotmail account for the past 15 years now (!) and have never had this issue nor any others...until the recent change to Outlook. It's been unreliable ever since. It would be a huge pain to leave Hotmail since everyone knows to reach me here but I can't continue to keep missing important e-mails (work or otherwise).
Has anyone else had similar problems? Any solutions?
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: I have sent myself test e-mails (from other e-mail addresses) and I get bounce back error messages saying that my Hotmail account is "full" or that the sent message is 'too large' for the Hotmail account (like attachments, etc.). Someone just texted me today asking if I'd deactivated my Hotmail account because he got 2 undelivered messages bounced back to him.
The time of an email is not the same as my computer, ie: Real time is 4:00 pm, Email time is 8:00 pm
When creating and sending emails, the email reads 4 hr ahead of what the time in the time setup shows. This was a problem before it became Outlook. How can I have the time corrected?
Cannot access email contacts , edit ,add, or delete any. All else within Hotmail seems to be working such as reading mail,replying, forwarding, and sending. All three of my Outlook Hotmail accounts have the same problem.When clicking on To ,CC, or BCC
nothing shows; same when clicking on 'People' at top left .The page won't load and the dotted circle spins for a minute ,then the message 'Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again, or refresh the page etc.' appears. Does anyone else have this problem
? It happened last night June 4/2013, corrected itself after an hour or so and reoccurred next day and stayed that way. Help much appreciated. Thanks.... Gary

I am an IT professional. I don't understand why Microsoft is trying to mimick the smartphones and tablets. My computer is a computer, not a smart phone or tablet. Stop trying to make it look and act like one. If I want a smartphone or tablet, I will buy one.
So now, because Microsoft is trying to make the hotmail look like a smartphone, my contacts are all gone.
How are you going to recover my contacts.
