I have contacted Microsoft regarding resetting my Microsoft Account password. They send it to escalations who have me fill out a form, but I'm unable to complete it. The same problem occurs when I got to the link to reset password.
The error I get is "Your email address can contain only letters, numbers, periods (.), hyphens (-), and underscores (_). It can't contain special characters, accented letters, or letters outside the Latin alphabet."
Well my email address doesn't contain any of that as is was provided by the college I went to 5 years ago. The problem is that the account email address listed is invalid in sense that it dropped .edu at the end. I've called numerous times over the past 40
days and escalations always sends me to the same link that I can't complete.
I either need to have my password reset for me or I need to have my Xbox Live account linked to a different Microsoft Account.
True Switch does not exist anymore ... so how do i do it?
It seems to be official as of yesterday that Outlook.com no longer support linked accounts. I have spent the day being totally frustrated missing what I thought was a solution to my online email life. Now I'm back to square one thinking I need to find a new solution. UNLINKED accounts is not working for me. I spend too much time switching between accounts, prefer the "filing" of folders on individual accounts and do not want to have a list a mile long to scroll down if everything is forwarded to one account.
I can't even have multiple tabs open as I am unable to sign in to multiple accounts simultaneously.....FRUSTRATING.
Any possibility Microsoft will reinstate LINKED accounts? PLEASE????

I have two existing hotmail accounts, one for personal use and one for business. I have always had them linked, so that the business emails would be forwarded to the personal account, thus saving me from signing in/out all the time.
Perhaps I'm doing this "alias" thing wrong, but when I go to 'Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias' I get the following:
'this email address is part of a reserved domain such as live.com, hotmail.com, or msn.com. Please enter a different email address.'
Of course it is! The ability to link and forward accounts is the reason I made my business email the same domain as my personal email.
Please tell me there is a way to do this. I just spent a lot of money on new business cards with the other account address!
I have three live.com accounts; one for business, one for personal and one for shopping the web. Now, since linking was discontinued, it is very inconvenient to have to open and close to check each one.
I was successful in forwarding the other two to the main account but I want mail from them to go to specific folders instead of the inbox of the main account which they do now. I went to 'rules for sorting new messages' and created two rules to send them to separate folders but it does not work.

I am trying to close my hotmail account and I can not when I get to that step to close it tells me to deactivate and check my billing services and when I do it then says I have no billing services. I would like to close ASAP please!
I am trying to reset my password on my account, but it keeps telling me I can't because I have reached the limit of trying.... All I want is to be able to access my emails and this is really beginning to grate on me. This happened about 2 weeks ago, and
