I switched my primary alias from a 'gmail.com' to a 'outlook.com'.

However, due to i am using the 'outlook.com' to log in windows now, i am unable to log into xbox apps and halo:spartan assault due to the fact that the xbox account of mine is still named after the 'gmail'.

I have reached microsoft support from the xbox guys before and they say they've nothing could help me.

Each time i clicked on the account settings on xbox.com  logged, it shows something like:
Oops... it should not be happening.

I can still log into it inside desktop edition of my xbox for gta4 or wtsoever, but i can't do it on the metro apps which annoys me. I really want to play my Halo Spartan Assault.
I have a new Android Galaxy S4 and set up Exchange Active Sync from the phone to my *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account.  Inbound push email is working perfectly.  However, I cannot send emails from the phone.   These are my settings on the phone ----->

Email address: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Domain\username: \*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Exchange server: bay-m.hotmail.com

The "use secure connection (SSL)" radio button is checked and the "Use client certificate" radio button is unchecked.

Any ideas ?

Again inbound push email is great to the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account on the phone so my password is authenticating properly.
I also sync from the phone to my "Sent" folder on Outlook.com without issue.  I just can't send from the phone.
This afternoon I tried to send out an email on my iPhone 5 and I get  "Cannot Send Mail An error occurred while delivering this message." I tried deleting the account and adding it again and I get the same message.  I can send e-mail from my PC.  I am receiving e-mails.  The settings are automatic as I choose the hotmail option on my iPhone when setting up the account.  Please advise.

I have had my Hotmail account set up on my iphone for a while and suddenly tonight I cannot send emails from my phone.  When I try I receive a message that says "Cannot Send Mail, An error occurred while delivering this message."  I have tried, restarting my phone, deleting the Hotmail account off of my phone and adding it back (with restart again) to no success.  I have a separate email account on my phone and can send and receive emails just fine from it.  I logged into my Hotmail account from my laptop and was able to use it without any difficulty.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

I created an alias to send and receive mail from it in special cases but when I try to use it, it takes me back to the primary address showing this rather than the alias address to the receiver which defeats the purpose of the alias. How can I use it?

Hello

When trying to log into Outlook.com it popped up with a message saying that a verification code had been sent to my other email address (which I had previously specified as the backup option for verification) and I had to enter the code to continue logging in. Sure enough, there was indeed a code at this alternative email address in an email from Microsoft, but when I entered it, it told me it was the wrong code and didn't let me in. I copied and pasted it, it rejected it. I manually typed it, it rejected it.....

In the end I had to skip the verification (which you can do for a week) but it still doesn't let me do it, and the week is running out. Soon I wont have access to the account any more because it won't let me past the login stage. Can you advise how I can actually get rid of this verification prompt, or give me another way of passing the correct code details on to you, as the box doesn't seem to accept it.

Thanks

Moray

I purchased a new computer with Windows 8 on it 2 weeks ago. Every time I open Mail I don't see any Home Ribbons or any ribbons available to me. I purchased a magazine yesterday  "Windows 8 The Essential Manual" where on page 121 it clearly shows a screen shot of Mail with the ribbons available.  Presently I am unable to access the Send/Receive button, forward buttons or any other button that were available in Windows 7.
Emails that were downloaded to my desktop Outlook account used to show up in my Hotmail POP folder. They are now in my Hotmail Deleted folder and there is no longer a POP folder. What happened to my POP folder?
I also have the same problem. I cannot unlink my Google contacts that I have inadvertently linked to my wife's Microsoft account. It seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
