Hi,
My partner's account was hacked 2 days ago - she put my email down as an alternate contact to start the account recovery process. She got to the stage whereby she had to answer some questions like, what was the last email she sent/received/, any sub folders she created etc.
She answered these as best she could, but with no joy. This account is extremely important as we are expecting a baby in just over a month and there is information on her emails that we require.
She has set up a new account with Gmail - similar to her Hotmail address in case that makes a difference in authenticating her so she can get access to her hotmail account again.
Can somebody please advise?
I logged on to my pc and entered the CORRECT password and it told me username and /or password were incorrect. THEY WERE NOT!
I sent for a password reset code which subsequently didn't work, nor did the following 5 reset links which took me to a page saying " sorry there is a temporary issue with this service".
I am now having problems with my android phone which no longer recognizes any apps connected to this particular email address.
Is there anyone at Microsoft who can actually help, rather than just sign post me to another link????
I am being forced to use a different account to post this due to no access what so ever to my main one.
This "service" is simply no good enough and there is little to no support :(
Any real advice or practical help would be greatly recieved.
To be clear, the mails did not appear in my junk folder and I have no filter that would prevent them appearing in my inbox.
I contacted the website who recommended that I use an email account "that has a more sophisticated content test, such as Google". I have been using this Hotmail account for around 7 years or so, and would prefer not to switch, however this is not the only example where I do not receive newsletters. I don't understand how I get the same emails in my junk folder every day relating to some sort of on-line casino, however a genuine newsletter doesn't even get as far as my junk folder.
Please advise what I should do (bearing in mind that I have already checked my security, my filters and my junk folder). In fact I have added the email address to my address book, but it still doesn't come through.
Since this change to Outlook, I can only occasionally get to my email, usually it goes to some page about Outlook, but no link or any way to get to my email. I just have to keep trying and trying until I get lucky and it comes up. I usually don't have time to make multiple attempts, therefore am not able to use my account hardly at all.
I'm not sure how this "
I just bought Office 365 and expected my outlook.com account to sync with it. I added my outlook.com account, but contacts in outlook.com are not available in Outlook 2013.
