While my name is Simi Malhotra and my email id is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, when I send a mail, the recipients often see my display name tagged as  'Avtar Singh Malhotra', which is my father's name. Also, when anyone sends me a mail I see the displayed name to which the mail has been sent as 'Avtar Singh Malhotra'. Though in my settings, I have reset my name as Prof Simi Malhotra, the problem continues. I have been a hotmail user for close to 15 years and this is a problem which has started only in the last 3-4 months. Please suggest a solution. Thanks.

I've a little problem verifying my domain ownership for "quasthoff.net" because
  • my provider didn't allow me to set TXT records
  • if I try to add the MX-record with "e3630f5f1f1b4594fe8069b83299e7.msv1.invalid" I receive an error message that ".invalid" isn't a valid top level domain (sounds right, doesn't it?)

Alternative I've created this record but it seems not to be valid for verifying my domain:

quasthoff.net   MX preference = 100, mail exchanger = e3630f5f1f1b4594fe8069b83299e7.pamx1.hotmail.com


Is there any other way to verify that I am the domain owner?

I have sent several emails the last few days.After I send them I receive a message saying message being delayed.Sometimes I do not receive this message until the next day
I have multiple devices (RT, Windows 7, Windows 8, Surface Pro, laptops, etc) and Skydiver has been a very useful and superior adjunct to my Gdrive, which I have to use at work but which has limitations etch.   This has worked well and I like the service...  HOWEVER....


It appears that with Windows 8. MS decided I can't use my skydrive without logging in with my Microsoft Live account.  I DON"T WANT TO DO THIS.  This is a security issue as well as a functional one.   On my RT it seems I have no choice since I can't install the desktop app.   For instance--I have local logins that are administrator and logins that are user...   I need to access the cloud storage, the SAME cloud storage account, from EACH. 


Is there any workaround for this?  If there is not I will cancel my Skydiver and Office 365 subscriptions and jump to Google, which I DON:T WANT TO DO.

I am not receiving group mail sent to me, but I am receiving individual mail. Can anyone please help me with this?  
I am using Outlook.com on my iPad, iPhone, PC and Mac.

Recently I moved an email from my Mac Mail app into the Archive folder. On the PC, Mac and on the web based Outlook.com I can see the messages in the Archive folder. However I cannot see them in the Archive folders on the iPhone or iPad.

If I put and email into the Archive folder on my iPad or iPhone it show up on all devices.

Why are some Archive messages missing from my iPad and iPhone?
My email stopped working on 10/31.  I posted here but none of the suggested solutions worked.  Emails I sent show up in my sent file but are not delivered to the recipients.  Emails sent to me are bouncing back to the senders.  I was able to reach Microsoft Customer Support.  They instructed me to set up a temporary email account to communicate, which i did.  They sent me the following message on Friday morning:

"We are writing to let you know that we have received your request for support and will reply within 24 hours. If you don’t see a message from us within 24 hours, check to see if email..."

It's now been 48 hours and I have received no further communication from Microsoft Customer Support.  Can anyone help?  I am in the middle of a job search and I am missing critical emails from potential employers.  PLEASE HELP!!

I'm just desperate to get my inbox messages now and didn't receive a helpful reply to my last message on Friday as yet!

I can send emails to external email addresses, when I try and send from outlook to outlook, it doesn't arrive. No messages sent since I stopped receiving inbox messages are showing in my sent items.

I have tried:
- verifying my email address
- changing my junk mail filters
- changing my password
- speaking to live chat support who said they could only help with login issues and couldn't help with this

I think there might be a deeper problem as for weeks my sent box has been full of repeat sends of emails I didn't actually send again, but sent once weeks ago.

Please please help - it's been nearly three whole days!
