So I'm having trouble with my Skydrive, to summarize
  • I use Skydrive to sync between my desktop and laptop (both running on Windows 8 which is linked to my MS account)
  • Last night my desktop stopped uploading files, just sits looking for changes.
  • I created a new file in Skydrive on my laptop, it tries to upload but never gets anywhere.
  • Office documents on both get "upload failed" message, One such message was "We're sorry this didn't work [...] try saving again later [...]
  • Went onto Skydrive web interface, can't create files there either. Get an error message telling me it could not create the file, and to check my internet connection.
  • Can create folders on both PCs and web interface.

I tried to set up Windows Outlook and inserted wrong information for server. I didn't realise it would be so hard to change the information afterwards so I just gave it a go (I wasn't sure what the server was).

I just bought a new computer and MS home premium 365 for it. On my old computer, I was using Mozilla Thunderbird. Now, I wanted to use my old email address and start using Outlook, and import all my information from Mozilla Thunderbird, which I used before. That's when I entered the server information onto Outlook. I thought I could just try it and there would be no risk. But I was very wrong. Now I can't access outlook and so I cannot change the settings either. I don't know what to do. I also already set up a new gmail because I thought it would be easier to start using a new email address with Outlook. But now I'm completely stuck and cannot do anything. Please help... I really want to use Outlook both on my new computer as well as my phone. But I can't even open it.

The error message I get is: We're sorry but Outlook has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Outlook will need to be closed as a result. Would you like us to repair now?

I get this message when I try to open Outlook. So I can't even open it. I have also tried to click on 'repair now' but that didn't change anything.

I have also tried to access outlook.exe /resetnavpane but I get the same error message.

Should I uninstall Outlook and then reinstall it, or will I run into additionalk problems if I do that?

I would really appreciate some help...Thank you.

I have to say, the account verification system appears to be deeply flawed. There are too many assumptions about the way that people manage their accounts, and the retrieval process appears to allow only 2 attempts before terminating not just the process, but the account itself.

This issue is due to a an email with an attachment which was not properly identified or flagged by Outlook - the on-screen messages did not flag the content as a script, though this must be what was used to hijack my account. Essentially, the fault is Microsoft's.

I have now been advised by the automated system that the best option is to create a new account. This will not do, since I have multiple login's (facebook being one) which depend on this email.

Please can a human with discretionary ability get in touch to resolve this issue.

I have two linked accounts that were linked to my Hotmail account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

One of those is my wifes. *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

This is one we need access to.

Can anyone please help with this?

Thankyou in advance,

Bren

I can log in to outlook.com but I can't access my emails.

My ISP has just changed from o2 to sky but I cannot set up my emails in windows live. I have tried to set up a new account with the sky details but when I do, although it shows the sky email box, there is nothing in it. But when I log on via the sky website it shows emails. If I click the update on windows live it comes up with the wrong sky server which says    pop.sky.com  but it should say   pop.tools.sky.com  if I change it manually to the correct version I keep getting a message saying "an encrypted connection to your mail server is not available". I have rung sky but they say it is a Microsoft problem, they are no help at all. Any ideas please?
I've had exactly the same problem for the last three days.  Also uninstalled and reinstalled the mail app with the same results.  The Outlook team seems to think this problem is limited to mobile devices; but it's obviously more widespread than that.  Frustrating.
