An email stuck in Windows Live Mail Outbox Folder was dragged & dropped to Sent Items folder. Now the message does not display email content when Selected in Sent Items Folder (only To: & Subject:, Date fields are visible) with error "The message cannot
be displayed".

I own a domain that had its email managed by Google Mail. My primary mail address was also the alias for my Microsoft account. I decided to switch my domain so the email was managed by Outlook.com, as I mostly use Microsoft's services and decided it would be easier to have everything under one place, rather than a combination of Google Mail, Skydrive, etc etc.
This all seemed to go smoothly, registering the domain with domain.live.com and setting up MX records under my hosting, etc. However, upon logging in to my Microsoft account after completing the process, it informed me that my primary alias couldn't be used, had been removed and that I must select an outlook.com alias. This happened without warning, without notification, and there appears to be no way to restore said alias. I did a livechat with someone and was blankly informed that "that's the way it is" and that I'm going to have to wait six months to reclaim my primary alias?
I find this to be utterly ridiculous. Not only does it mean that I absolutely cannot use Outlook.com for my domain email (not unless I want to sacrifice my Microsoft account and start again with a fresh one), it also means I'm more fragmented than ever, with my Microsoft account now wholly separate from my primary mail address.
I do not understand why "this is the way it is", nor why it will take six months to recover my alias. Even though I'm quite invested in Microsoft's services, I'm sorely tempted to cut my ties completely over this debacle. If anyone has any answers or suggestions on how to resolve this, I'd love to hear them.

I opened a new hotmail email account last night at about 7.40pm. I had confirmation from yourselves that all was fine, so started to change my email address with sites that it was linked to. I then was notified by ebay that this email address already existed and received an email from them in a foreign language. I also started to receive a number of foreign friend requests on Facebook. I understand that you don't duplicate email addresses, but there definitely seems to be another Samantha Hughes out there with the same email address. After looking at some of your discussions/questions, I can see that this has also happened to others in the past. I have since changed my email back as I don't want this other person to be receiving personal details of mine. I spoke to one of your live chat agents last night (Paige), who suggested I contacted you to advice me on the best action to take. I am now receiving emails from another language so would ideally just like to delete this account, in case the other person receives personal details of me. If you could advice, that would be great. I cannot empty 141 junk emails. Outlook cannot process my request. Referred to check status and Outlook operating normally. So, I end up here. And to Jen, although another post where the person could not open attachments and told to update browser,
same problem I had and I had updated to IE 8. Still have XP so no IE 9.

My child tries to access his email account and gets this message: Your account is not ready It looks like your parent hasn't finished setting up the Family Safety settings for your account. Click "Go to Family Safety settings" to finish the process and get into your account.
