How do I increase the capacity of the Inbox in Windows Live Mail? At present it only holds 40-50 messages, and any earlier ones appear to be automatically deleted
How do I increase the capacity of the Inbox in Windows Live Mail? At present it only holds 40-50 messages, and any earlier ones appear to be automatically deleted

I have Yahoo for mail and have not been able to attach a picture or a file to an outgoing email.  Cannot even copy and paste to the body of an outgoing email.

I get this error message. It happened a few months ago and I had to go into the programs to fix it. I don't remember how to do this. It seems weird how this keeps happening. It worked fine yesterday morning. I was gone all day and last night I went to check my mail and this is the error message I got. Help please.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (tmccoy_14) account.

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

Thank you!

1) I renamed a folder in Livemail.  I then did a export all folders.  The folder was exported, but under it's original name.  Harmless I guess, but confusing.

2) Email folders disappear.  Can not provide much background, just notice one day the folder is missing.  Has about 70 messages, is there a size limit?

Which leads to....

3) So I try to do an import of specified folder.  When doing this I get the message "No messages can be found in this folder, or another application is running that has the required files open.  Please select another folder or try closing applications that may have the file open".   Source folder is the one with the .fol and .eml files.  Only application running is livemail.  I will just do a manual restore, but any ideas.

Restoring to a pop3 account.

Hi there,

My two hotmail accounts were linked together so i didnt have to keep signing in a out all the time between them. My accounts have become unlinked and there now seems to be no way I can re-link the accounts to achieve what I had before.

Can anyone help? I have looked in the permissions but I have no option to add another account...

Thanks
my search is not working
WLM opened and retrieved e-mails yesterday morning.  It then stopped responding and closed.  When I tried to restart Windows Live Mail the first error message box says "recovering windows mail storage database." Windows then tries to start Mail again and says "windows is checking for a solution to the problem."  The final error message is "windows live mail has stopped working.  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."  The only option box is "close program."

I have tried the following:
Restarting the computer
Repairing Windows Live Mail then restarting the computer
Reinstalling Windows Essentials then restarting the computer
Full virus scan - _INS5176._mp quarantined
Performance tune-up
Recovering from back-up - couldn't do it as it tries to open WLM as the first stage in the recovery from back-up (and it looks like all the e-mails are safely in appdata\local\microsoft\windowslivemail - just that I can't open WLM).

Anything else I could do? Thanks.

Update 24 July 2013: Saw the advice to create another user account to test if WLM would work on my computer for another user.  It does.

Many of my emails are not reaching me, they are not appearing on my windows live but if I access my email through virginmedia website they are there. I have missed important emails. I have attempted to check if some receiptants are blocked but can't find the options tab on live mail. Please help as this has caused many issues and lots of wasted time.

thanks
