categories not working with windows live mail 2012

I have several Contact Categories containing groups of people I like to send
messages to.  I used to be able to highlight that Category and click in the
BCC area and they entered as +that category name. For some reason that's not
working anymore.  I can click on the BCC which opens my contact list and
highlight a category and it places it in the BCC area when I choose that.
It shows like "+madeupname".     After sending the message to myself and to
the group as BCC  I check the Sent folder and check the message to insure
those contacts show in the BCC area.  Nothing is there.  So I tried putting
nothing in the To: area and only the Category name in the BCC box.  It said
it can't send a message because nothing is listed in To:..CC:....or Bcc.

 

My email sends and receives OK with individual email addresses. My problem is that category does not work. If I copy and past contacts into a NEW category, it will work, but when I get out of mail and back in again later the same new category will not work to send mail to all the addresses contained.

Re-gaining access to your outlook email address when all security features have been altered by someone else.

Is there a way to re-gain access to an outlook email address you have had for 10+ years when all the security features on the account have been altered by someone else? I have tried the reset password link several times and have gotten the message that Microsoft was not able to verify my identity so I don't know what to do next but need my account restored as it is linked to my work email.

Hi,

Since the linking of account has ended I've been unable to sign in to one of my linked accounts since I've forgotten the password as I've been so used to being able to access it from signing into just one account.

However the email address which it lists as the destination for a password reset link isn't one that belongs to me and I haven't received a word since I've submitted an online form requesting the recovery of my account.

More importantly, the categories which are listed in the form are all things I cannot answer - the account I want to get back into is for entertainment/personal emails such as subscriptions to blog updates, online shopping catalogues and for receiving notifications from Facebook, Tumblr etc.
I don't send any emails from it nor do I purchase anything with my Microsoft account so I cannot fill in details such as my "last sent to email addresses" or topics or my billing address.

I would appreciate it if anybody could offer me any routes I could take to recovering my password and account? I can offer the details of the emails that I do receive and I hope mods/admins can take into account that my current email and the other were both previously linked.

Live mail contacts categories disappearing

I have used Live Mail for months without problems. I have hundreds of contacts, and from them I have created a number of catagories with contacts grouped together to put several contacts in the "To" box of an email with one click.

Recently, the categories have been disappearing after sending just one email. I compile a category from my contacts and it appears as a category under contacts. The first time I use that category to address an email it works OK. However, if I try to send an email a few days later using the same category in the "To" box I get a message "The message could not be sent. Type an email address for one or more recipients in the To, Cc or Bcc boxes"

If I click on the category in Contacts I see a list of names and email addresses exactly as I created. However, if I then right click on Edit I see the start of my full list of contacts BUT THE BOX BELOW WHICH SHOULD STILL CONTAIN THE CONTACTS I ORIGINALL ADDED IS EMPTY.

Somehow, the contacts allocated to that category have disappeared! I need to send emails to over a dozen recipients and it is frustrating to have to laboriously compile a category every time I send them an email.

LIVE MAIL HAS WORKED OK FOR MONTHS - BUT SOMETHING HAS CHANGED.

Can anyone help?


Email hacked

So my email was hacked, so now I can't log in on my Windows Phone or my computer without being told to submit a recovery form. Which I keep submitting but it keeps getting declined. 

The questions are ridiculous. I don't email enough to remember what subjects I put, and does anybody in this day and age remember email addresses to people they're sending it to?

Frustrated and just want to be able to log back in.

I can't access my hotmail account!! When i try to log in it come up with the microsoft account dosen't exist!!!
I've been unable to access it for quite sometime now & just found this forum! 
I am sure of the email & password but cannot log in or even create a new email with the same name!
Please help i really need it!

I cannot send a scanned attachment using Windows Live Mail.

I use microsoft windows live mail for emailing, I email to a contact with an attachment that I had scanned onto my desk top. My contact recives the email with a message Dangerous Contents (Spam) and they cannot open. This does not happen if I attach a word document, if it is a jpg it happens. If I email through my internet provider site this problem doesn't happen. I have tried every thing. Can anybody  help. This is a copy of 2 message my contact receive:
